priya, 31 May 2010i hv this handset but my hanset did not recieve massages can any 1 halp meU can reset ur phone settings
Just click on the settings then click ph settings
and click the factory setting option then it asks to type code-12345 and press ok
after some time the ph will be restarted and all settings will resetted!

I have had this phone since 1 december 2008 and I must say that it is a brilliant phone!
I do have some problems with the alarm as the screen flashes on and off so I can't manage to switch it off that easily...but otherwise a good phone!
I dropped it into a bowl of water once....switched it off quickly, opened it up and let it dry for 4 hours (depending on the weather) and presto! It worked! hehehe
I am very pleased with the phone, and can't seem to find a better replacement.

iam using my nokia 5800 about one year now but i think nhd screen is harm for eyes for sight , thats what i feel after using this device.

Hi Every body ,
I am planning to buy nokia 5800, it is very bid deal for me to buy this phone, its price is around Rs-13700/- here, please suggest me should i buy this phone or not. Because i heard it had lots of problems, like hanging and screen problems , does 5800 manufactured after march 2010 has hardware defects, and after updating it to V50 will it create problem.
or please suggest me some another phone with same features, because it is first and last phone for me so I don't want to commit any mistake after buying this phone.

thomas, 31 May 2010when alarm starts, i could not stop alarm and only i can snooze..can someone help me It sometimes takes a few goes to stop the alarm. Not really too much of a problem though. Try locking and unlocking the phone if you find you can't stop the alarm.

U two r wrong, this is one of da most reliable handsets ever, security is superb, i've never received a viral attack yet. 5800 is very good!!!

Step2 press opti0ns at d left bottom then find check updates press it...then the rest are yours follow d instructi0ns.

U may adjust it to 500 save messages if u wnt. Im kind of freak n0w explorng all the phone settngs of my new 5800 navi edi since i bought ds 11hrs ago. Ds s my 1st smartph0ne hope ds wont disapp0int when t c0me to net c0nnecti0ns. My prev ph0ne was se g705 a sleek powerful ph0ne when c0mes to internet browsing its excepti0nally fast. I cn open operate 3 operaminis simultaneously! 3.0, 4.2 and 5 beta. All downloadng vids simultaneously whle im browsing, surfing. I cn also watch youtube f i get bored waitng to fnish my download or uploads. Never freeze or auto on off. I update d frmware aftr a m0nth snce i bought it. I only use for 3m0nths then swtch to 5800. Se g705 has HSDPA 7.2mbps and 5800 has 3.6mbps only. hope ds ph0ne wont dsappoint me.,.
