after v 50 update. without data restore of the backup, all my ... moreI upgraded to v40.2.005 and now it's even better. Nothing to complain about. Kinetic scrolling in all menus, auto-switch to full keyboard when rotate to landscape and many more...and finally my voice recorder no longer beeps while recording calls due to touching the display or rotating the phone.
Overall a good, dependable, trusty phone. Not a rocket, just a good phone.

IagUCool, 12 May 2010- MP4/H.263/H.264/WMV player H.264 videos are not supported. Only audio is played without video.That only happens when your video has a frame rate which is very much higher than the phone can handle!! Use a good converter and you'll be fine. In mine they work perfectly!!!!!!

hoe do i get unlimied music downloads on my 5800
.I heard of a scheme by nokia which allows for unlimited downloads.but wen i go to music store it says tat yours is not a "comes with music phone"i purchased it 2 weeks ago . plz help

after v 50 update. without data restore of the backup, all my apps, note, sms contact is still available. i thought all apps, note, sms contact will be be gone and i've to restore the data.however everything is still there and i think no need for me to restore my data.
Guys, is this normal after all of u update to v50?
i got the maps,kinetic scrolling,etc but no Rihanna in the music folder

to nokia:
i bought the 5800 for music and unlimited voice navigation, music is good but the gps is total crap crap crap, an absolute disgraceful software nokia!
coming from winmo user, i had used garmin and igo8 and both are better by miles there is no comparison at all.
this is such a shame nokia, especially when you own navteg, nokia maps has a bad lag response when driving and most importantly what the heck use is a gps which cannot find main roads in sydney half the time!!!!
i would not reccomend anyone who intends to use nokia maps as a proper gps alternative as you will not find 50% of the roads, if you have to, buy igo8 or garmin (btw i don't work for any navigation, software or fone company). i am getting rid of this crap!
