Hello people, the online video experince of 5800 is great, videos get loaded fast. I'm using a wifi router @home, it's very fast. But public wireless networks are a kinda slow, hard to watch videos with them. So it's not a problem with the phone everyone, don't blame the5800! :)))

Hi friends, I've been using this phone for 2weeks. I'm very disappointed every time when I watching online video.The loading was so slow that I had to wait a very long time to watch a few second of the video n wait for the loading again.(Nokia N97 MINI also has the same problem) One of my friends whose Samsung STAR WIFI's online video is very good (fast loading n smooth playing). Anybody has the solution, pls help. TQ.

nicejuan, 13 Apr 2010my 5800xm have approximately 4300 msgs saved in different locations (inbox, sent, drafts, and ... moreI agree with you that a message occupies less than 1kb. But the inbox list, that appears in the inbox contains much of the data(of 4500 messages) showing sender's name and starting of the message. The file that stores this name is "INDEX". To load this whole file, the phone becomes slow, and it takes about 2 secs to open.
What you could do to this is, to make 3 new folders and transfer 1000 messages to each and keep less than 1500 messages in main inbox. Now check, whether the speed increases and access time is less or not.

Just got the 5800...great in use..n the software update adds on the screen beauty more sensitive and responsive...Also the deal includes(INR:12800+tax) every basic things in box + sennheiser Headset(PMX60)..The default earphone is also diff. now its better...and the applications from Ovi are unlimited..Browser usage is also great....Word of advice do update your set to V.50.!

Anonymous, 04 May 2010that's how i upgraded my 5800 from v31 to v50 when all else failed.... just remember to bac... moreit's free upgrade if your phone is still under warranty... otherwise RM$50....

Anonymous, 04 May 2010go to nokia care centre at sunway pyramid, first floor next to ice rink view. rm $50. takes 2 hours.that's how i upgraded my 5800 from v31 to v50 when all else failed....
just remember to back up your data as everything was reset to factory defaults after the firmware upgrade...
