If i do Factory Reset by using *#7730# and call..Will I loose the new updated Firmware which has got kinetic scroll etc or Will it still be there...??

wow, i used to love the 5800 but nowi kind of hate it, coz version 50 is not so good , now the phone hangs in menus too much, has become sluggish!!! Some bugs arethere with music player as well!!!!! NOKIA PLEASE FIX THIS BY RELEASING ANOTHER FIRMWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :((((((((((((((((

Pl try to re-install phone software again, you can do it urself if u have a broadband connection and laptop or computer with UPS,bcz while installation process ur computer must have uninterrupted power-supply. If not you may visit Nokia Care Centre for re-installation of phone software,they may do at free of cost or may be Rs.300 charge. Dont worry,have a nice time. Pl update ur problem in this forum.

its a firmware prob, i think that u had a old firmware such as v21 or old..
Nokia confirmed that the screen prob resolved in latest v50..

All you need to do is take it to nokia centre and it will be repaired free of charge if your phone is still under warranty. If not under warranty, the you will be charged for the lcd replacement. It happened to me last year november and was replaced free.
