now dis C6 will completely take over 5800..... wat fone dat is guys..... pricing may play a great role...... but wat v r listing is nokia is in a mood to stop 5800.... its been out in mrket for almost 1.5yrs...one of d longest produced fones after n95...... i'll definately buy C6

I had this phone for a week before it was stolen : (. I was very impressed with it. Sound quality is great, huge amounts of apps, wlan, 8gb card ect.. It cost me 2900 rand (South Africa) which is a great deal for what you get. The camera suffers and is incredibly bad when the light is not great, but other then that i have had no problems with it. Now just in the process of saving for it again : ). If you are considering getting it i would say go for it top phone

The only reason you would buy a 5230 or its wifi counterpart the 5530 is because you can't afford to buy a 5800, or its just cheaper in general. (with no offence intended to any who owns either of the cheaper ones). Cheap phone = Cheap kit.

well, u can either use the pc suite, connect ur old headset and browse through the contacts, copy all the contacts on the pc, and then connect ur 5800XM to ur pc, and then paste back the contacts under the contacts session. this will do the trick. i've personally done that.
or maybe u can sync both the phones. it should be easy as well.

once u've clicked mass storage, save all ur songs in sounds>digital, and jus drop all ur mp3s into it. then, open ur music app, refresh the library and all ur new songs will appear there.

u can get the cracked version of the software by registering into any symbian forum. someone commented power mp3 player, well, u might want to try that. they're quite a few apps there, including folder play, i use that as well.

Anonymous, 12 Apr 2010Can anybody tell me, how many messages can 5800 store(based on experience) with slowing down a... moremy 5800xm have approximately 4300 msgs saved in different locations (inbox, sent, drafts, and personal folders). message operation (opening, closing msgs) decreased to around 45% compared to having 1000 msgs. opening a msg will roughly take 2 seconds, with 4300 msgs. i think ds phone can handle several thousands more msgs bcoz memory is dynamically shared. meaning, let's say d msg memory storage is set to internal and has 30mb free, maybe 5800 can save an additional 30000 msgs(?) since a typical SMS occupies like 1kb on d drive. overall performance not affected at all.

Gr8 phone. Been susing it for a year now. Some ppl have complained of software issues.. But non for me. Its got all the features that you could possibly want.Wireless is gr8...and the 8gb mem & Music Player is Awesome.I dont need an Ipod or other mp3 players...I can do evrything on the 5800 itself !! Top notch for the price..

its gr8 in music series..but not for images its has very poor quality camera...(3.2 MP quality is not good )
its one of the biggest disappointed for 5800 fans

for those who want superb bass: go to equalizer, then make a new set and set it's lowest frequency to max and others to minimal. then activate loudness and you have the bass.

Nokia should provide same headset to all other Xpress music mobile and 5230/33 to enjoy music experience and taste the good sound quality.
