for all those who has a problem on how to update ur phone to v40. just go to nokia care center and they will update it.. mine is v.40..

Finally, some light at the end of tunnel!!!!
My Hard reset worked and resolved the problem "Menu: Memory full. Please close some applications....".

\Here are the steps that might be useful for people having similar problems.
1) backup all contents (contacts, notes, calendar, user momory items in phone, all other things.) into Ovi backup file.
2) Eject memory card.
3) Switch off the phone
4) Hold the RED+GREEN+Camera+ POwer ON. (it's really tough to handle with 4 fingers though!) Watch for Nokia handshake. Release all buttons after few seconds after handshake.
5) your phone mem will be 100% erased and reset to factory settings (memory & SIm card wont be effected)
6) Now connect the phone to PC and from ovi, restore the data again (select the same backup)
7) Insert mem card in. Restart to make sure it works perfect.

Hi ,
I am using the Nokia 5230 .
I have noticed a strange thing . When you set the option as 'contacts bar' in your home screen settings , one is unable to see any calendar events (anniversay, to-do) on the main screen .
However when you switch off the 'contacts bar' in the home screen settings , you can see all calendar events appearing on the sreen .
What is the reason for this ? I as a user would always like to see my calendar events on the homescreen . Is there anyway I can see the contacts bar as well as the calendar events both appearing on the home screen together .
In C5 , you can see the calendar events notified on the display .
In 5230 you are unable to see the calendar events , even though there is an event present .
What is the reason for this discrepancy between 2 new symbian devices ?
This is an issue and should be fixed .

It is restored. I bought in Bangalore(india), they [seller] told the same that it's not available. they were very sure, however it proved false statement. I tried borrowing my friend's nokia tv out cable[since cable is notr supplied with the box pack now] and tested. It works perfect. Pls see my post below (a week back) about that.

it does not read pdf files in seqential page order, i mean the pages does nt get scrolled when reading pdf file with several pages. every time we need to go to page no. after finishing one

My laptop wont access the USB of my Nokia 5800 because it was corrupted something. Now I cant plug my phone in my laptop. T_T
Oh...This phone is NOT GOOD in the dark because the Aperture is only 3.7. We need 5.4 to be able to use in low light conditions. What were Nokia thinking?

All 5800 lovers please vote for the 5800 [ 10,10,10] @least twice a day. The daily interest of the 5800 has come down to 55% from 91% just within 3 weeks, which is bad. As for 5800 haters, please don't vote or comment ! Thank you!
