It's been 4.5 years since I bought this phone. Its amazing how its still going strong. Not a single problem and battery still lasts for 3-4 days with normal use.
Its definitely outdated hardware and feature wise compared to today's Android phones but reliability and durability wise, the Nokia 5800 has been one of my best investments ever.

Ta Martjie, 19 Sep 2012How to downloads maps in this phone Go to OVI Store and look for maps 2.0 (developer is Nokia itself)
you can download map 2.0 app using your phone or computer...
to me better by computer cos its faster...
then you have to download/ update it with your own country map... so can have the free navigation...
nokia map is better cos you can navigate with offline mode (no data charges)
last time i've use google maps the data consumption is heavy...reducing lits of your phone data quota.

High Speed, 16 Sep 2012Ya me too. The camera is not good at all. You will see the pictures alright but it's kind of... moreCheck your camera glass at its battery cover i am sure it has many scratches. Try to take picture without its back cover. It will give you good quality.

Ya nee, even mine and it freeze and doesnt want to show numbers stored on sim card and now wont refresh music list all 600 songs i stored on memory card wont show in music library

i have used this phone for the past two years,in all it is a very good phone no doubt about.The only problem is the camera if the software body can improve it a little bit.secondly the it cannot play mp4 video format.

Now the camera doe snot give clean picture. Any solution folks?
Battery bar just jumps from 7 bar to 6 then 3 or 1. So am using Nokia Battery Monitor..
Anyone with such experience about the battery bar? I heard some people too complaining about it on Nokia discussion forum.

my cell phone camera don,t give clean picture plz help?Ya me too. The camera is not good at all. You will see the pictures alright but it's kind of white (I mean the color of the image is not good at all). Even Sony Ericsson K700i which had a VGA camera had better color image than mine.I have checked all settings and most of them are automatic...
Anyway have such an issue?
