hai friends 5800 has a good features compare to others handsets but still nokia is not able beat sony handsets bcos sony has execellent sound effect. i hope i future nokia will try to enhace the sound effect. thanks friends enjoy with present handset which already you purchased.

ROhan, 17 Mar 2010hey guys i wana buy the phone today ..so pls help me out ...im camparing 2 phone..nokia 5800 ... morerohan u can update ur 5800 to version 40 and get the same interface as the 5530... 5800 has many ore features so go in for it!!

it is fine for me so far, but i cannot judge it accurately since I have not used it for a long period of time.
The camera - even though it is only 3.2 megapixels, it can definitely match up to my friends' 5 or 8.1 mp cameras, and sometimes even better. but there is a problem - when I want to take photos in "no flash" in low light, there will still be flash but just darkening of the picture. I could not mute the camera sound too. As a result, I have to download softwares into my phone to mute the sound.
Appearance - Although it is quite bulky compared to other brands, the design is very simple and smart.
It is very user-friendly too.
The music volume is very loud, although you could hear slight buzz. You will have to adjust the loudness and music settings to clear that, and it would sound clear.
It is bad sometimes as it freezes, but overall I would give it an 8/10 as it was better than the previous brands I had used.

i m using this phone from last 3 months
evrything is fine, but from yesterday i m unable to refresh the music library, i mwan all the new transfered tracks are not getting refreshed....Any suggestions???

i'm using xm5800 for last 3 months. upto now i didn´t face any problem but the battery life only arround 14 hours standby and 3 hours talk time.

The Nokia store sells handsets bearing "made in China under the authority of Nokia corporation, Finland" so you need not worry about the quality of the product because it is made up to standards all over the world. Made in China handsets are mostly distributed amongst the middle east and Asian markets.

Guys,
I have been using XM 5800 for last 3 months, no problems so far. But all of a sunnden the instrument hung and i had to remove the battery for a reboot. After reboot the home screen buttons are not working. Especially dial pad is not working. Can any body help me ?? how to get back dial pad working. I tried also resetting the orginal settings. All my messages have gone.
Pelase help me. s/w version is V30.0.011.
Should i upgrade to version V4.0 ???

The LCD screen was replace 4 months after purchased and v30 firmware installed. No more street maps of SE Asia. Cannot download using OVI maps because no map loader can be downloaded. Phone still hungs and must have battery taken out and reinstalled for a hard reset

well, i hv heard and also experiencing after the upgrade that the camera is not as gd as it suppose to be. well dun worry, there's a software to make the camera take better pics when in low light n near objects. its called encam v1.02. the link is as follows:

u need to sign the app or u can install it straightaway if ur phone is hacked. it worked for me and yes, i can see the difference rite now. :-)

y is cpu undr clockd to192mghz...... man its less dan half of its powr.... nokia cmon give me a frmware update to clock it at atleast 300+ mghz
