This is the primary memory or RAM which is generally much smaller in capacity. When you run applications they get loaded into this primary memory. That means if you are running too many applications simultaneously, you might get this message.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970If budget doesn't restrain you, get an iphone. If you want symbian get vivaz or satio, if you want nokia get x6 or N900.
Anyone will tell me that Nokia 5800 is good to buy or not. Plz help........
Anonymous, 21 Feb 2010NEVER EVER CHOSE A SYMBIAN PHONE.... Read carefuly frndz m giving u this view after using alo... moreI agree with you on some points that Symbian is becoming obsolete. However, there is another key that- symbian is going open source. It may turn the future of it +ve also. And currently, price is the factor to decide on an mid range priced phone like 5800. No other brand will give so many features, though many phones have better intuitive UI and quicker response (on touch screen). in general samsung is the tough competetor to nokia due to their top class innovations & quality concern. however, i am sure their equivalent of 5800(on spec) is INR 5K more priced. As you said, if anyone is soending more than INR20K then better go for Windows mobile or Android. I don't vote for iPhone because of their marketing tactics. they sell very less features for very high price in the hype of quality.

On the other hand, you can go to a nearby Nokia Care centre and they will install the OS for free. I did the same coz I could not update via nokia software updater...
Pls can anybody tell me how to update my 5800 xm to v40. Does it have on-phone updater or must i have to update via pc? Pls i need a reply cos i just bought the phone newly.
Anonymous, 22 Feb 2010Hi I have a question about editing text input that is typed via the virtual alphanumeric or QW... moreyour scenario description is difficult to unserstand. However, i am using 5800 and it works like this...
you typed a sentense "I love nokia 5800 xpres music" and tap on "correct" mark on the keypad screen and come back to sms create screen and noticed a spelling eror in "xpress" and want to correct it, then you should just tap on the word "xpress". The entire sentence will be re opened on the text box of touch keypad and "xpress" word will have focus, u can again tap on the word and replace the correct word or using backspace arrow, you can delete the word and inser correct word. you can ise red-colored right & left arrows to navigate through letters if its difficult to select a part of long words.
Guys Please help me messaging speed is very slow please tell me how to boost up messaging speed please help help help

Upon that, the touch screen in 5800 makes the life even more easier. (any phone having querty touchscreen , for that matter). if you dont have control on fingertips OR your fingers are too huge and can't sense where you are touching then use stylus (comes along with 5800 or almost any mobile)
I have installed more than 80 applications in my 5800. It works well but when i try to open the application manager to uninstall apps, the screen goes blank for a while and returns to the home screen. Also when i try to open the applications folder in the grid view it says "low memory, close some applications!" but i have 43mb of phone memory and more than 2.5gb of memory card. I found no viruses as i have kaspersky trial version. And NONE of the appswere running @ that time as well. Firmware is the latest one. What could possibly be the problem??? If anyone knows a solution (other than formatting) or the reason for this please email to"nadulais@ovi.com" and kindly let me know. It'll be a big help. Awaiting advice. :)

SMS with long message? DONOT TAKE 5800!!!
Better you take N97, its ideal for long typing and have same quality of camera and video recording with your N82.
This phone excells if you love music, not so much on video and camera. It's only the music list browsing is the problem, it's hard to catch the titles of the list of songs, because of the different touch response unlike the ipod or iphone.
Sound quality depends on the earphone you will use, the default earphone's sound is not good, use the earphone with rubber earplug to get the best sound, Do not compress the MP3 file for detailed sound, and lower bass enhancement.
For music lover, this is ok
Hi, I presently owned the Nokia N82 and thinking
of getting the 5800 to get hightech as touchscreen
seems to be the modern interface & keypad becoming
outdated fast. I use mainly messaging/texting, and write long messages. Would
it be harder to text in a touchscreen like 5800
compared to the N82? I know touchscreen doesn't
have tactile feedback like hardward keypad. But
how about the resistive touchscreen perfomance
as well as looking for name in the contacts to send
to. Are the steps in touchscreen more laborous
than that in hardware keypad for those who text a
lot esp if you have to edit your long text as I have
to fill up exactly one or two message length to
avoid possibility *some text missing* when received from network delays?
