it's a very good phone. the software is fine. not that fast, it's good and not slow as well. the camera is excellent. the resistive touchscreen works fine. It isn't hard to connect wifi and very good connectivity. the 16m colors screen is the best dude. I suggest this to all of you or if you want an UPGRADE buy the fabulous nokia X6.

I got my 5800 just a week ago, i must say its a nice phone. Im just wondering it has a caller id, but how come it doesn't have a texters' id? be waiting for your reply. thanks.

hello everybody. i have a 5800 XM and a Windows 7 operating sistem on my PC. With the usual Nokia Software Updater i can`t update my phone software because i can`t even install it :( I also tryed using Ovi Suite to update the phone software, but Ovi searches for ever a new software version. What other option do i have? :(

Usually after locating the GPS application need a MAP to show the location graphically. Mostly they download this map at real time using the internet(example, google maps). However as suggested by many here, you can download the maps for your country free of cost from ovi store and set the "go online" setting in the ovi maps in your phone to off.

hunk, 30 Mar 2009Hello, hey guys i had a problem wid my 5800xm it gets freezzz after playin couple of songs and... moreDid u update the latest firmware (V40)? I started getting the same problem after i updated v40. when i play music from the all songs option in the music library the music player completely freezes all the time after a few songs. then the app does not close/exit too. no problems when playing music through play lists and by genre.
I have to close the music player by force by using the remove memory card feature which closes all running apps.
Does anybody know how to fix the music player freezing problem? It’s a real pain sometimes... Thanks
