Nokia 5800 XpressMusic - user opinions and reviews

Can someone please tell me if I can have a msnmessenger application on this phone as the blackberrycurve has? Or do I have to use a page like I'm doing now.

I updated to v40;
but v40 sucks..
major problems
*Frequent application crashes(mostly Browser, Maps and Ovi Store apps)
*Hangs extremely(no solution, you'll have to take the battery out.. power button also wont work..)
*Not hackable
*Decreased Battery performance
*Camera quality also decreased than before..
now i m in problem.... i hate v40.... i should have got 5530 instead of this bloody hell phone.. i hate looks, performance, and battery life of 5800.. although this phone has 434 mhz cpu, spped is terribly slow.... battery life of 5530 is better than this ph although 5530 has 1000maH battery instead of 5800's 1320.. i already changed the network mode to GSM only, operator selection to manual, n also i,v turned the wifi search to off, battery doesnt last even a day.. idid greatest mistake by buying this phone.. i thought of getting samsung, but because of smartphone capabilities, i moved to this hell phone.. but, it cant handle 3 apps running at a time.. alwaz says mwmory full, close apps n try again.. if it cant handle apps wts d importance of symbian os?? i'll never buy a nokia frm nokia, nor a symbian from today.. will go for king of OS, Android .. or HTC
I hav updated Norton antivirus in my PC, shows no virus there.. Also i have trend micro antivirus for mobile in my mobile, and its also updated, it also shows no virus.. i m really dissappointed.. i hav installed latest ovi maps with free voice guidance, but it also closes within a minute after i open it.. whenever i open photobrowser app, phone hangs, and i hav to take off the battery.. previously, i used 30.0.011, but such problems were never there.. i cant find the themes installed in application manager too.. i did hard reset, n formatted the memo card, removed all apps, n downloaded new apps from official site, but it alwaz shows the same problem... if v40 is this much buggy, we dont need kinetic scrolling, not that 20 contacts bar, but we need stability and fast performance.... i will never suggest any one to update to v40.. Never do a mistake by updating ur firmware to v40.. If any guys have any solution plz suggest me..

Hello guys,
I have a problem concerning Ovi Maps on this phone. last week I was in Brussels and I tried maps application ( I hadn´t downloaded Ovi Maps yet) and appeared to work fine. So I came back to Spain where I live and upgraded my phone´s firmware to v31 and also donwloaded Ovi Maps, everything went ok till I noticed one thing... My location on the Ovi Maps !!!Still in Brussels!!! How come?
and this might sound a stupid question... does Ovi Maps needs to work connected to the internet, I mean you need to have a data plan in order to use it, or connected via WIFI, I remember Ovi Maps said to be FREE, so how does it work?

Does this phone come with the Official protective case(plastic or rubber type).
... morehi hello cookies...org brunei ka?....sorry to say...unfortunately...Nokia does't came with any protective casing,screen prot. etc..with their unit,nor selling product like that....they could only recommending user to buy one from an outlet....anyway....they also provide latest firmware against their unit to further enhance it...

Nikhil, 31 Jan 2010m using 5800 since 12 months.. its an awesome cell a value for money(though i purchased it for... moreVisit nearest Nokia Care Center. They will upgrade your cell to V40.0.005 no matter what your product code is. V40.0.005 is available in India.

Just type on your phone *#7370# your phone will ask code number which is default code in nokia mobile as 12345. The phone will be hard reset cleaning all its phone memory. Memory on memory card will not be affected by this process. You can take back up of phone numbers etc. before doing this job as it will vanish all data stored in phone memory.
