Best Phone ever! v40 really changes everything you know about this phone, i had it from january 2009, ;D ill never change this until dies or lost. Nokia 5800 XpressMusic with firm 40 and kinetic scrolling rules in every sense

the nokia 5800 is one of the best phones of nokia in history. The music player is awesome and the picture resolution is magnificent. Battery can stay up to 5 hours of continous playing....

aneel, 26 Jan 2010My mobile starts normally but after showing main menu its shows a black wavey screen, can anyo... more go to nokia service centre, if ur fone is under warranty they will repair it for free, i had the same prob , it took them just one day to rectify the problem. good luck

hi i am using 5800 abt 3 weeks i hav no words for it ..it awsom phone....i used alot of phone also iphone 3g 16gb ...i thnk best fone ...battery life is awsm......i m using v31 still i m happy hope new version for my mobile ill availabl soon.....but ppl blve me its just awsm

I want to buy a 5800. But my friends said that it's more dificult to send sms and dificult to use in sunlight. Touch screen is suddenly scratching and sensitivity is low, is it true?

Major facts why 5800(updated to v40) is better than 5530...
1. 5800 has 3g, giving u fast data transfers.
2.5800 has gps, with free voice guided naviation licence, with latest ovi maps.. U can replace ur gps avigator wid 5800.
3. 5800 has larger display, n larger font size, making u easy to read in it.
4. 5800's sunlight legibility is far better than that of 5530..
5. Kinetic scrolling on 5800 is more smooth aa compared to that on 5530..
6. Camera performance of 5800 is better than that of 5530 because of CARL ZEISS optics and dual led flash..
7. 5800 comes with 8gb memory card, but 5530 comes with 4gb card, so 5800 gives wider space to store ur files..
8.5800 comes with sennheisser headset(in india), giving u excellent music experience.
9. 5800 has mini qwerty keyboard option, giving u more text input methods than 5530.
10. And finally, 5800 costs lesser than 5530.. In india, 5530 is priced 14029, and 5800 is available for 13200.

i just bought my nokia 5800 yesterday. everything is working perfectly except for one thing. the camera won't open. what could be the problem ?

I updated my firmware to v 40 thru nokia care. it was working fine for one day. But when I synchronised my phone with the previously saved content copier, some of the features in the phone changed. Such as the full qwerty on landscape when you tilt the phone, alpha numeric keypad for adding contacts which came with v 40. I am not able to swith off the alarm with the red butten or the on screen stop button even after activating the unlock button. But kinetic scrolling is working, theme is working. can someone help me to rectify the problem? what to do now? Thanks a lot.

I hope you haven't. well, you can't compare a capacitive touchscreen of X6 with resistive touchscreen of 5800 + user interface. If you live in some part of the world where X6 has been released and you have used it, then it may make some point of discussing and comparing because X6 is yet to get a world-wide release otherwise you can go to any length drawing hypothetical comparison but it will only confuse people and nothing else !
