My mobile 5800 firmware is v21.0.025, my product code is 0588652.. i think i am the only one using 5800 who is still with version 21 :( all r taking about v31 and v40.. i feel will keep with version 21 forever :(

Yes the v40 its only for rm-356 european model but for the rm-428 american its easy to flash it to work with the v40

Anonymous, 18 Jan 2010hi, how do i reset my phone? just through typing *#7370#? if that so, that would be my problem... moreYou also can hard reset your phone by turning it off, then press green + red + camera button + power button, release power button after nokia logo emerge. You will guide to choose country if hard reset succeed.
@nono you can change to your original code easily after update your firmware

i am from india...i just upgraded my nokia 5800 to v.40 but i am facing one problem after the upgrade,the display light automaticaly goes dim while working on the phone and then automattic get goes bright...dont know why this is happening..plz do reply if anyone face this problem after the upgrade..and one more thing previously when i lock the phone by using that lock key at the side of the phone the light of display gets off automatic..but after the upgrade sometimes after locking the phone light is still blinking and i have to unlock it again so that i could lock the phone properly..plz do reply if anyone face this problem and also tell the solution for it..plz

Guys, I am from bangalore, recently I upgraded my Nokia 5800 to v40, every thing went smoothly. After upgrade it got restarted and it was working fine. When I tried to create a new profile, the new profile was not working. After several inputs the phone got hung and i was forced to reboot by removing the battery. Any resolution for this issue? Help me!

I faced p... morehi, how do i reset my phone? just through typing *#7370#? if that so, that would be my problem, i cant use the derict dealing no. coz it's not working after i've upgraded my v30 to v40. Good God for me! i just wanted to make the most of my phone but everything seems go wrong. pls guys tell me more how to fix my essue.

I have this phone and it rocks. Anyhow, notice there is a new firmware V40. Does V40 comes in chinese/english? So how does everything works after the upgrade? Better or worst? What is kinetic scrolling anyway? how bout the GPS sensitivity? Thanks ... Ya-HA!!!
