ganu kiter 6p, 09 Dec 2009the battery for this model can't stay in the long period....i think mybe coz the widetouchscre... moreHi Ganu, batt is ok,2 or 3 days for normal operation(phone call + SMS).
please close all applications and menu ie contact, sms, log, note etc when you not use its.
Set the network to GSM only.(Switch off the 3G when you not use it and you will see the batt is ok unless you have used it more then 1 year, change the batt laa.

Abid, 07 Dec 2009I have a problem in my Nokia 5800 Xpress Music. when i send sms,then that sms go to outbox an... moredude that is not bcos of your nokia 5800, thats bcos of your network. i have E65, i too had this prob. this is due to network traffic. this will not happen all the time. when your network is too buys, ur mobile will put ur msg in outbox and it will try to resend it again. if your all sms goes that way to outbox and resending, put someother network sim card and test sms. if it goes properly then ur network only has the prob. if it dint go in other network too, then goto sms settings and check for all setups. u will understand.

This Nokia 5800XM is cool, interesting, and useful specially when it comes to Applications.
You will never get bored with this Phone.
Nice User Interface easy to navigate unlike the other touch screen Phone.
Great Tv out functions, to be honest guys i hate the poor quality of Camera may be this phone was designed for music lovers and application users.

Aaaah finally, was able to install the latest firmware v31....it worked much better on the S60 5th edition with the OVI maps much improved...the pitfall is the 7 day free drive license activation which is just a nokia gimmick. I miss my Nokia 6110 Navigator with a built in lifetime license....darn! everything is business...no more good perks out there. The XM is only good for music and audio...although the headphone that comes with it has not improved at all with the lousy earpiece and sponge that breaks down easily...If only Nokia can overcome this flaw...the XM series are winners in their own field. You'll be forced to buy a separate headphone which is a total waste of money...

mwamwamwa, 08 Dec 2009how loud is the sound and music through the speaker? is it loud than Nokia N73 music edition? ... moremusic is quite loud it has 2 speakers after all :)i got this phone but now when i got a few apps and more than half memory card full its kinda slow :) and the usual problem of certs with nokia phones is pissing me off :)
