Nokia 5800 XpressMusic - user opinions and reviews

Bk, 20 Nov 2009Dön't have good camerasince i use NIKON slr and sony compact...i find all cell cams just for fun and not for real photography as i also do press photography. i found 5800 photo look good on cell screen and seldom use it on pc.
BUT in all other features 5800 is superb especially the screen and sound. Touch is very good.
Also the build and connectivity of nokia is best,
my 6630 is still going strong even after FIVE YEARS without battery change with strongest reception among all my colleagues and friends latest phone.

nokia 5800 is not a good phone.. ive been using it for 8months now..and NOKIA has been pissing me off with their software updates.. why would they even start to sell phones if its not even in a stable condition..all i'm thinking is that NOKIA wants to compete with leading brands such as SE and SAMSUNG..but does SE and SAMSUNG phones got their software updates as often as NOKIA? why would NOKIA release phones which is unstable.. especially nokia n85..sounds cool with the N-series trademark..but the phone seriously s*ck.. major whitescreen and hangup occured.. NOKIA! please release your phones when its software is already stable if not.. don't release it..it causes many phone users to get pissed off and starts to ditch ur brand[NOKIA] and go for leading brands such as SE and SAMSUNG instead..
why i'm writing all this stuff is to tell you all out there what i've been experiencing with NOKIA s60 symbian phones.. symbian phones need faster cpu speed to operate, otherwise its technically useless.. normal stuff such as whitescreen and hangup is enough to drive you nuts when ur using it daily..
feel free to correct me... otherwise support me if i'm right..

sadsa, 21 Nov 2009whats the cause of the screen problem ( horizontal lines with scrambling colors) ?that's normal if u reset your phone or update it to newer version. I've experienced it too.

can i type the messages as easy as i use to type with my n70.as it is a touch screen phone how much affect ll be there in my typing speed

My Nokia 5800 XPressMusic cam is a bit blurry sometimes in daylight (specially in direct sunlight indoors)
BUt video is awesome but you can easily tell it's from a phone. Is that a good thing or a bad thing.
battery life has improved since I discharged it several times.
over all, no problems on Nokia 5800 XPressMusic except it doesnt have Kinetic scrolling. I should also want some new homescreen to match the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic and the Nokia 5230

Well if u r looking for a phone which you can use at least for 3 years with a good cam this is not the right choice.

Would buy, but camera is real fail (and quite important for me). Nokia, please do not make sh1tty camphones no more.

i really love this cell , although i dont have it but im thinking of buying 5800xm . my friend has this set and i love it not really cheap i think its just in normal range that every one can efford but still its a little bit expensive but its worth it and da only think i hate abt it is that its touchscreen isnt that good but still its worth it

i personally hate the nokia 5800!!!!iv had it for 3months and its been in for software&touch screen probs for like 3 times.i received my phone 2 hours ago, and had to take it back for repairs!!!!!!!!!!

Regarding the camera quality, its indeed veryyy POOR , feels like you are using 1MP Camera. Indoors the results are horrible, outdoors in light, its better.
For everyone who is planning to buy this phone, please remember that you will not get the Best camera quality at all. Camera is the one Turn-off point for nokia 5800. Secondly this phone doesn't comes with build-in FM transmitter as well.
