Singh, 08 Nov 2009Please let me know should I buy this phone or not. If anyone suggest me a phone with Good Inte... moreMy primary usage is for browsing, emailing, listening music and sometimes watching mother that i encoded to mp4 format.
Browsing is good either you use default browser or finger friendly opera mini 5 beta. Youtube easily can be played directly from default browser. You can install youtube application too if you don't want to play in browser.
Music is good. Based on my experience it's better than my ex w960. It sounds more details and bass is amazing. You can tweak EQ to find which sound you prefer. You need to buy a good pair of headphones outthere to find good sound quality as onboard headphone that come is suck (except you buy with special package, Senheisser something).
Battery life is last 1 day on heavy usage. Primary for hours of browsing including downloading with wifi connection. Browsing is battery eater.
Outlook is subjective. You can look at the gallery. The material the phone use is plastic.

Please let me know how to install the latest update in the 5800 Express Music set. I love this set. By the way where can I get authentic themes and applications for my set. Is there any setting to make the volume more in the set? Please do reply back to my personal e-mail ID. i.e. sharu268@gmail.com. I have purchased it only 35 days ago. Haven't been able to play around with it. So, it would be very greatful if you do reply me back to email ID.

emperor, 07 Nov 2009i just bought this phone but the only accessories i have is stylus battery memory card short u... moreyeah. same here. i just bought it last Thursday. it didn't come with av cable, and hard case made for 5800. i was hoping i would have that case because it really protects my phone

subodh, 07 Nov 2009yea da proxmty sensr is closd.....but durin incomn or outgoin cal if i lock n unlock da cell t... moreWhen prox.... sensor is covered by screen guard during calls ,the screen gets auto-off & for this u need to unlock the screen by unlock switch thus prox... sensor works.. the same mistake done by me, few weeks back..

Did you update the firmware separately.yes frnd, updated my F/W yesterday from NPD, bcas my silencing calls function thru sensor settings not working, so they update it & now working peoperly but the confusion is ur F/W is .011 & mine is .008...... is my F/W is new or old pls refer me buddy...

Ive been using this phone for nearly two months and i can say that it is a good phone, but not great. the hardware is good but its the software that troubles me. i have sent this phone to nokia care for 2 times already for fixing my volume control for my music player and also my crashes. my apps have crashed for quite a few times and i was forced to remove the battery to make it work again. there was once when the whole phone crashed until i have to flush the whole system. i basically lost most of my files. as for gaming, this is not a gaming phone as compared to the iphone and so on. cuz there are not many games for the nokia 5800 and also, pretty little apps. the camera is not as good but still average. the video quality is good and so is the touch screen functions, its good if u are a first time user. =) the battery life is average and the wifi works great. the internet browser is also pretty smooth and the nokia maps works fine. the gps works fine as well. overall i would give this phone a 8/10 rating. =)

is it true that this phone has some bugs...like bug on its screen...pls help because i want to buy it and i heard about some strange things that are going on its screen when the phone lay on a cold surface or something like that :S

garud, 07 Nov 2009I downloaded a movie from a dvd cd but it didn't run it. What should i do?get a dvd ripper software... i use this to convert dvd to mp4 or any other format.

i was playing a game and when i said exit my screen faded to grey and stripes came over my screen, would not respond and took a while to switch off. what caused this problem and how can i avoid it in the future?????????????
