Gilly Rocket"", 26 Oct 2009How VOIPis possible in 5800xm???? Pls explain it & guide me king......You need to install 3rd party application like nimbuzz or fring (my favourite one is nimbuzz, due to its faster performance to detect internet connection).
You can do voip nimbuzz to nimbuzz account, yahoo to yahoo or skype to skype, as well as some paid accounts to call land and mobile phone numbers.
Just install neither nimbuzz or fring and then try to make voip. It sounds clear.

Really need to appreciate the battery life - Even if you watch the full movie , the battery level will drop only by one level. None of the windows mobile gives this battery backup.
5603 gives a very good battery - 2~3days comparing to this phone my wife never charge the phone at all.

Hey guyz, for best battery life >
- turn off WiFi scanning
- select GSM only under Network
- screen off after 15sec
- minimize screen brightness
I get 3days normal talk use, 5days if I don't use WiFi. YMMV.

I use it with airtel 2g network in india... Call quality is good enough.

tharani, 24 Oct 2009'm plan to buy this mobile.. weather this mobile is good or not..Nice phone really loves it... Touch response, music, Free SN headset, damn amazing.. Bought it on 16th still now no more crashes or hangs but too much of apps & games aren't good for phones performance gets slow down in oppening apps & auto rotation takes time, otherwise more mp3's , photos & videos are not a performance killer... 8gb(after booting u may get 7.3gb) is large enough for media.... Small (some what big) disappointment is battery life lasts only for 1 -1.5 dayz with sensor settings OFF, back light time 15 secs, Light sensor low, No wifi, No 3G.......(lot to write) ,but i am using GPRS lot.... Build quality cheap plastic (hates china made plastic) gets finger prints easily, glossy plastic, some creaks (rarely).... Little suggestion if u bought it for 13.9K u can't get extra accesories ,for this u want to buy a new nokia branded cover (just visit 2nd page of the 5800 review) which is cool & sexy 350-RS,compulsory item "SCREEN GUARD" NOTE: thru screen guard dont cover the SENSOR items & Sec camera.... Thats all frnd Recommended it 95%..... Last but not least my 5800XM is surely a "PROUD in the CROWD" handset....

A touch screen phone with considerably larger and more pixel dense screen is cheaper than qwerty phones with relatively smaller and lower resolution screen. Probably E-series is business class and XpressMusic is economy class with discounts. At least Nokia wants us to believe that. Making the same journey at lower rates is a good decision.

I baught this phone in india.here are some good and bad experience of mine with this phone
i found lots of problem in this phone.....
1)4th day after my purchase shortcut icons of my phones home screen are disappeared.
2) Phones browser is not much impressive( if i compare to motorola a 1200 browser).opera mini 5 is better then default browser.
3)lack of options (like copy paste)...clipboard
SOME POINTS WHICH ARE ORDINARY
1)battery life is ok. *** (3 star)
2) camera is ok
SOME GOOD POINTS..............
1) music very good *****(5 star)
2) video quality is very good *****(5 star)
3) phone's design is nice ****(4 star)
i'll be able to write something more after some time
