Anonymous, 02 Oct 2009thnks but wht is the reason, well my cousin in USA also having same phone, he has updated with... moreu r welcome, but reason unkown. i guess nokia planning for a major update in near future thatswhy v31 released for limited regions. but no worries as v31 has nothing new except updated maps & ovi which we can update manually also, the another difference in v31 is bit speed in RAM and SSENSOR thats all my friend. so current v30 is still better

RIP, 30 Sep 2009Hi Alexander, Didnt find any solution, everyone tells me that GPS can work only in open sp... moreFinally gps working :D, sat in an open space(a garden) for it, and after abt 10mins the satellite found a lock. Im relieved :D.

HARSHA, 02 Oct 2009There is no tv out feature in 5800 and they removed that software from the phone it seems. al... morewhy they did this n why they hve writeen tv output in specification.. u knw my problem to buy ths phone becoz i lost my n82 othewise i would wait for more time n then i would purchased n97 anywazz...thx

does this firmware version 31.xxx contains the new homescreen (contats bar + shortcuts bar)?
because i have the update installed and it seems nothing changed (i have to choose between the contacts and shortcuts)

I bought this phone yesterday(1st OCT 09) , and I must admit that the phone is indeed beautiful, the finish is solid and really looks good in your hand.
The hardware and software combination (Symbian 60 5th ed) are matching the phone is very responsive.
The camera is crappy though.. This phone is not for shutterbugs, (any shutterbug worth his salt should be carrying a DSLR, no phone can do justice to photography with a digital zoom).
Enough said, with the price tag of 13.5K INR ,Delhi/NCR this bundle is worth the upgrade, and should serve your tech requirements in the years to come.

anil, 02 Oct 2009@rbx ....its a gr8 device 4 sure.i have been waitin 4 5530 ...but last week i got 5800 musi is... more5800 is better than5530 interms of screen size, battery, talk time, standby time, features. 5530 does not have inbuilt gps. No 3G, poor display under direct sun light etc. 5530 however is more compact than5800 as it fits comfortably in your palm. kinetic scrolling, 20 contacts bar, nice look etc. are 5530 advantages. 5800 comes with 8gb memory card and 5530 is packed with 4gb card. Remaining features almost same in both the phones including price. ha ha.. Its your choice now my friend. I purchased 5800 recently and quite happy with it.

well i just bought 5800xpress music frm oman, nice touch screen phone, hmm a good compititor for iphone.
my question is the latest firmware as per nokia official website for 5800xpress is 31.0.008 *
And my phone firmware is 30.0.011, when i updated with nokia software updater its showing that the current firmware i.e 30.0.011 is the latest firmware updates available, but in nokia websites its 31.0.008
kindly help me. i want to update my phone with the latest firmware.

ganze , 02 Oct 2009hey dude wt u got in box coz i heard now 5800 coming wid big headphone i m thinking to buy it ... moreThere is no tv out feature in 5800 and they removed that software from the phone it seems. also the tv out cable is not available with the box. no pouch,no stand. I verified 5800 using my n95 tv outcable. picture is not visible but we can hear the sound.means.. only songs can be played on tv. thats my experience with the latest version.
