RashGurl, 30 Sep 2009Does anyone else face this problem? i have installed PC suite 7.1 from the nokia site but my p... moreafter installation of software ( nokia PC suit 7.1 ) & connecting your phone with the computer one should press the exit button before plugging off the connection cord. otherwise the software will not recognise the handset next time. this is the same as u do for the pen drives.

cld someone pls tell me how to view document in the nokia 5800xm.gsm arena listed document viewer as one of its features or there isnt any? or its just a gimmick to create a dubius sale.pls i need an answer quick.

Does anyone else face this problem? i have installed PC suite 7.1 from the nokia site but my pc is not recognising the device in PC Suite mode...but its recognising the device in all other modes.what could be the reason?

deep space bar, 30 Sep 2009don't worry about that their is 86mb on stock if you factory reset the phone then you'll see ... moreI am worried cause I can't upgrate my device due to insufficient phone memory. Please let me know if I do the factory reset whether my phone memory will be increased and also pls inform should I loose all the contact numbers and messages.

While listening to music...in full volume sound is ok, but while volume is arou... moreand Pierre Philippe (actually for all 5800xm owners):
after connecting ur headset, choose "line out" and u'll experience higher sound output (this is especially true only if you enable "loudness" and for cleaner sound, turn on "stereo widening" as well) from d "now playing" music menu, tap "options" - "settings".
approximately, if u try those settings, u should have around 30-45% more volume
note: though "line out" can also be used in fm radio, activating d loudspeaker mode wyl d headset is connected will not work. d sound will not be routed to d loudspeakers. atm, dat's d only con i found out wen using "line out".
PS:
throwing away d inbox earphones (wait, better list it on e Bay) and buying a decent ear/headset rightaway and choosing "line out" will surely show nokia 5800xm's hidden music talent. budget not an issue, shure, etymotic. moderate budget, sennheiser. tight budget, A4Tech. cheers

But when phone memory is explored and then when all files & folders are selected, the memory is being showing only as 557 KB. Most of all as per your suggestion I found no file to copy in Phone Memory, cause almost all folders are empty. Please suggest me what should I do..

soniapa, 29 Sep 2009hi can you tell me which other application is good for our phone ?? i download this and its re... morel think u wont find a better phone for texting and music, l personally think this phone covers all angles, im using handwriting recognicion right now, yes it has its problems 2 to start with but soon recognises your style of writing. Little l ip, try using starwars lightsaber stylus for dslite, really much better than stylus provided, shame it doesnt fit phone! Lets face it, anything the iphone does that this phone cant is generally useless

I bought this phone a couple of weeks ago. It is my first Nokia phone ever so I can't compare it with any other Nokia phone.
This phone has everything Iphone has with a third of the price (yeah I know, touch screen on IPhone is better but for a third of the price I think it's pretty clear choice!)
It is very slick and great size, light weight, thin, fast, and responsive.
The WiFi on this phone is great, though I'm not a huge fan of Symbian's built-in browser. I Installed Opera mini and I'm pretty happy with it.
The GPS capability is a bonus and with Google Maps, it works perfectly fine for me, fairly accurate and fast in finding routes and all...though I don't think it has audio guidance.
The apps and themes are awesome and they are a ton of apps available on the web for free...
One thing I really am upset about this phone is the battery life. On Nokia website, it says with WiFi, the battery lasts only 3.5hours and honestly, I haven't been able to get a better battery life than 3 days without charging from it (gsmarena has 16 days). That is the only problem I found with this phone so far. I'm buying an extra battery charger for my phone and leaving it in my office in case it runs out of battery when I'm at work...

Had been using this phone for the past 6 months.
If compared only to Nokia phones, the 5800 is worth the value as it still comes with music* it has GPS, wifi and touchscreen capability.
Of couse a 5800 cant be compared to iPhone (price difference) but personally i feel that if money is not a factor, iPhone would always be the first option of mine :D. okay, continues to the opinion of mine.
Wifi and browser speed is acceptable, i dont face any problems except for heavily loaded webpages where phone will start to feel the pinch. Overall, its still rather smooth with internet browsing.
BAD POINT about this phone (or maybe some other model nokia has) is that they lack the UI of scrolling through multiple choices by wiping the finger across the screen. Instead, users have to use the sidebar for scrolling. Which is not accurate. I have about 1000 songs in my phone and the sidebar becomes so short and sensitive. Everytime i tried to find the song, it doesnt bring me to what i want, instead it will jump away from the song i want as when i lift my finger, the placement will go off a little.
Camera images always finish off being a little white. Contrast of images arn't fantastic. Video recording is worst than using a 7610 to record. There would be speckles of red blue green particles in the video.
Finally, the one access media button is AWESOME. Its a relief to have that button !
Lock and unlocking the phones comes with a dedicated slider key which brings convenience to users.
Other than these, the other functions of the 5800 are good.
