cool99_aj, 01 Aug 2009what does kinetic scrolling mean?????????in kinetic scrolling u can toch the screen and push it upward or downward instead of using the scroll bars.. the feature is already availbe with the webbrowser in the phone..

how can nokia come out with a phone which has a big gap on the top right side.

everything is fine on the phone. but #1 there is a small panel gap on the right where light escapes out. whn i contacted nokia care (kochi) they said it will take 20 days for the new panel to arrive. #2 is when u r on a call and signal bar drops to 4 u get voice missing like u have just one bar. i dont knw if this is just with my unit..have anybody experienced it. just google on nokia 5800 gap.. u will get thousands of entries

This set is dire it hangs all the time and the battery is tosh, i actually waited for this to be released and it is a complete let down.

N series is the supreme level of Nokia, for those who can afford and for those who ACTUALLY use all the features provided.
But you cant mock the 5800 coz it does the job which it is designed for, MUSIC! plus it has a much bigger screen with higher resolution, equipped with the latest symbian operating system and so on. And it does offer good battery life.
not a very wise move there trying to compare the two phones which were built for different purposes. Nokia defines N series devices as MULTIMEDIA COMPUTERS. Things cant get any clearer than that...

schady, 01 Aug 2009whats this proximitisensor? HELPAs this is a touch screen phone a proximity sensor is there to disable the screen when your face is next to it while you're on a call, the better to conserve battery life and prevent accidental button presses.

Or you can use the "Downloads!" application do get the software but that would be also a trial version. So I suggest you pay for the thing and get it once and for all. It will come in handy coz you will be getting the signed application and the unlock code both in case you have to format the memory card.

i phone does gives a point about there ui and touch screen but this phone gives the true quality in mobile music expirience not even the i phone offers this much of quality in there product music wise .

I just brought this phone yesterday. Surely can say this is the ultimate iphone killer! Nokia is the best they took their time and finally unleashed the king of all phones. I love you Nokia you are the best, this phone has the best of all phones. Best pleasedwith the battery life. Keep it up.

Just look at n79, 5mpx camera, FM transmitter (awesome feature, trust me), NGage gaming, VoIP, Internet radio, XPress-on accelerator. 5800 is nowhere near N79. 5800 is just midrange, n79 is a high-end device!
