hi guys - im a previous owner of the nokia 5700 xpress music and i loved it - im looking forward to buy the 5800 too . but have a few questions though i hope u guys can help me with those .
will it support kinetic scrolling in the new firmware ? are u sure about this ?
is the touch screen well responsive ?
can u make custom shortcuts on the main menu or folders etc ?

I want buy this phone. I have opened the nokia website and look its color. Mostly at the back. If I choose the red one, the back cover should be red too right? Because at Malaysia, I found the phone but its back cover is different somehow. The back cover seemed to be designed with a zoomed in fingerprint. Why? Can I find a normal one because the back cover is ugly to my eyes.

This is a flaw on the specification of Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone. It was stated that it supports PDF, word and excel. I just got the phone today and I was disappointed not to have all these supports.
Can this be rectify to save other consumers that may rely on this WRONG AND MISLEADING information.
Please be accurate in future, cus I really LOVED and RESPECTED this website and even introduced to my friends at work

It will be address... moreThe 5800 pictures in the mobilereview.com review has been taken with the first sales SW 10.0010 and therefore can not be compared to pictures taken with 21.0025 because many sw improvements done after that. 5800 with SW 21.0025 pictures are similar to 5530 pictures.

It will be addressed in an upcoming firmware update, which will also include a new homescreen and kinetic scrolling as seen in the 5530. The 5530 will already have these updates out-of-the-box and that's why it currently has better camera performance. The firmware update for 5800 will probably be out about the same time as the 5530 is released, so be patient...

there are comparisons of camera samples from 5530 and 5800.....5530 has a lot better camera. What the F*#k......why does 5800 have a $ucky cam.

When u select MMC and try to open ur inbox.....nothing happens. If this is the case then u will have to format ur MMC. The problem is due to "Smart guard" software. You have probably installed it. And uninstalling it wont help.

And you can upgrade your phone by using the nokia software updater. if you read a few pages back you would have seen hundreds of posts on how others have updated their phones.

Nokia 5800 V30, Important Features I discovered other than the ones already said :
1. Volume may be adjusted while playing music by touchscreen.
2. Scroll through the Contact list and music files one by one by touching the screen up and down and not by pulling scrollbar which used to run too fast.

To Saeid,this phone is not bad,i have it,ever since it was released.it depends on the user,if u know how to take good care of it,then it will last long.
