Only SOME handsets have it. I happen to know a person who has this phone and she has not updated her firmware even once and her device works completely fine. Her version in v1.something. But if you find your phone hanging/freezing just update your firmware even with the same version and it will fix the problem.

I kinda doubt that its true. ... morekceegee,i'm also 5800 xm user and i been using the phone about 2 month already.My phone when using music player battery life last about 30 hours in offline mode and 24 hours without offline mode

While driving to Sydney from Melbourne I used this phone to power my car stereo via AUX cable and the battery had 4 bars left. Also I should point out that I have been taking pictures on the way, sent a few texts and made a couple of short calls which were like 5 minutes long.

this phone is really bad .... to slow and to many bugs better go in for samsung star or star 3g its much faster and bettery life too
