my girlfriend has the nokia 5800 xpress music for about a month now.
However, at times, it seems to freeze on her. Sometimes when it freezes and you take out the battery, the phone is still on for a bit and then it comes off.
Anyone has had this experience?
Anyone with a logical explaination?
[p.s it had the lastest firmware]
Hello...
I'm using SE W960i, but I'm tempted to buy this phone.
But I'm still not sure if this phone is better than Sony Ericson W960i.
So is this Nokia 5800 XPRESSMUSIC better than Sony Ericson W960i?
Thanks
Alain

@UGN & haroon
U cant get flashplayer9 for ur browser. We are lucky to even have a flashplayer3.1 coz very few fones have it. Most fones are way more expensive, yet lack the flashplayer.
Atleast we can watch youtube. Thats more than enough in my opinion.
it's very slow.it's hang somane times.some fecherc is good.
This phone is all nokia lovers delight. It create joy in me and I know it will do same to all who loves nokia products.
I couldn't wait to get cash for this Nokia 5800 XpressMusic...Voila!! Tommorrow wil be the day it will be in my possession. I hope it's in one of the Cell shops around Bellville. Watch this space for the practical experience comment after a day or two!!!

kindly just help me out from where to get this thing??

kindly do help me??
thanking u in anticipation!!

the sound quality is extrmely good....this phone comes in very handy for a day-to-day user..wanna stress more about the sound quality,so here it goes.....
rather than using the free handset provided with the phone what i've found is that the sound sounds better with a Sony Ericsson head-set...here am talking about only a part of the head-set from SE with the ear-piece end...the noise reduction ear phones when used with the 5800,sound is much better.....go ahead guys and try this out...
At this price range, this is THE best phone you can buy.
The PROS:
-Offline Maps. No seriously you don't have to go online to get directions from point A to point B (unlike google maps). Very usefull.
-GPS Navigation works a charm with my old Wayfinder bluetoth GPS (from my SE P1i phone).
-Superb Video playback (once manualy converted, which isn't hard).
-The TV Out works fine. Its like carrying a portable dvd player with you.
-A web browser that opens any site (also most anime streaming sites)
-The best loudspeakers in a phone I have ever heard (puts to shame many low budget pc speakers)
-It gets better with every firmware updrade.
-The apps keep coming. Fring, mobbler and quickoffice (the app that opens MS office docs) being the best free apps atm.
-8GB out of the box
The CONS
-It looked like a beta test device, but it got better with every upgrade.
-The camera is bad, but it depends on your needs how bad it really is.
-The touch UI could have been implemented better. Nothing you can't get used to though.
-Very low internal memory (80 megs)? The phone can handle 3-4 apps open at the same time but that's it.
-I don't like the design of the device. The 5530 looks a lot better. Imho.
-Very bad earphones for a music oriented device.
I didn't like nokia devices (all my phones have been SE ones p800, P900 and P1i) but they won me over with the phone's price/value factor.
The black one is the best looking, imho.
The Samsung Omnia i8910 HD is and will be the best all around s60v5 device around (even after the Satio's release). The price tag is very high though but if you have the money buy it. The 5800XM on the other hand is the perfect phone to introduce you to a touch enabled menu and the symbian OS. The perfect device to wait this genration through and gain experince, so a newcomer can buy a high end device in 2010. It does everything the high-end devices do (exept the video part) at half the price. Well done Nokia.
Buy it, you will not regret it, as long as you don't care for super video recoring and photo shots at night.
The touch is good but the camera s**ks
this is the best sounding fone ive ever had also the touch screen for me is really good
