Kriss, 05 Jun 2009no radio ? i found out only after i bought itTO:Kriss--> NO,it has radio ;)
I finally decided to switch back to Nokia after several years of other devices, and the 5800 caught my eye.I wasn't expecting something special, considering the price, but i was blown away.Maybe this is not an Iphone killer, but it sure is a close call.Only the more rough design,which makes up in durability, and the touch sensitivity, which is only by fractions beneath the iphone, are the deciding factors.The new symbian OS is perfection, can't remember the last time i didn't need any extra time to get familiar with a new phone.Brings Symbian on a new level.And all those extra applications, oh man, it's been a week and i'm still finding new cool applications on the web to download.(i.e. just installed an application to watch 100 channels of TV with a Wifi signal).I read a lot of people complaining about the camera before i bought it, and now i can safely say that the camera is perfect unless you're looking for a Laika 1000 EUR camera performance.The display is big enough for me, and the resolution is better than the iphone.If you're thinking about getting this phone, let me just tell you to stop thinking.
Only cons for me so far is the lack of support for AVI and DIVX file, but i'm sure a sipmle update in the near future will fix that

Rip, 06 Jun 2009Surely you are joking!!! I am by no means an iphone fan... but have tried both and I can say t... morehey you Rip!
you're so over acting!
iPhone may be the best in touch sensitivity..
but the features that the 5800 offer is better than iPhone.. and iPhone is so expensive that its price is twice the 5800's price and also 5800 is twice the smart of your iPhone!
Rip, 06 Jun 2009Surely you are joking!!! I am by no means an iphone fan... but have tried both and I can say t... moreThe iphone is old age device between MID and GSM in new shiny high priced cowers with flowers, like plastic-bag with beautiful flowers but big hole on button of it, and anything you throw on it fall's on aple's black hand, but user will looter and wish, but newer achieve anything seriously, because it's for kids or small brain woman's, it's flimsy and is like kitchen toy, but is not for serious people, and will newer catch up with advanced devices from nokia or other compering companies!
Pratap, 06 Jun 2009The RAM is 256mb which is the same as that of Nokia E51.
Nokia 5800 is a touchscreen phone... moreYou must be out of your mind,the n5800 is not winmo ram or cpu big consumer like they do!
The symbian system is very flexible and powerful OS system, and as for system ram, you can install anything in memory card and leaving free the phone ram for other operating system on the phone!
Kriss, 05 Jun 2009no radio ? i found out only after i bought itIt has radio.
The RAM is 256mb which is the same as that of Nokia E51.
Nokia 5800 is a touchscreen phone and consumes more RAM, hence the RAM should be upgraded to 512mb RAM
hey this phone have the radio ........ try it in music folder or other folders u have in the menu or otherwise go to the nokia customer services and claim for the radio ....... i guess u will find this post helpful.
The processor can be upgraded to the latest ARM 11 600Mhz (like the one in Nokia E55). Currently the ARM 11 369Mhz processor is used in Nokia 5800 and Nokia E51. As Nokia 5800 is a touchscreen model and consumes more memory, the existing processor will slowdown the response time of every action. An upgrade of the processor and RAM will be an added feather to Nokia 5800 cap.
