When it is in silence mode and you do nothing except sending or retrieving sms, it keeps for 2 days
When it is full for WLAN & music, you have nothing less than 24 hours
The highest battery consumption is for WLAN
Then for calling
Then for music or gaming
But I think it's okay
5800 is a touchscreen phone so that it needs more battery consumption for thr screen's work

My question is how is the battery life under moderate use? under heavy use? and light use? While decribing the battery life, you can also describe to me the type of stuff that you used (i.e. talking, gaming, WIfi, music, etc) tthat led to the battery life. Thanks!
I am using this phone.. it is really great options at very reasonalbe price.... but if any can to tell me how read pdfs on,, i would be thankful!!
i have been waiting for this phone back from last year. when it was released, i grabbed one from the nearest nokia store right away. from then on, the 5800 problems begin to pop up one by one. the phone has become too slow. there are obvious flaws in the software side. the touch screen is not that responsive. then my phone began not recognizing phonebooks names, whenever i receive a message from someone in my phonebook, only the number appears instead of the texters name. i have to bring it to NokiaCare again. too bad, im selling this phone for a N series phone.
Such a nice big screen but the font looks small, can anyone tell me if the font can be made bigger, thanks
Why cant u use the front camera its annoying the touch is complicated especially the writing how do u play the racing game with the pencil its impossible even with your hand
I purchased the phone it's quiet annoying that u cant take pictures with the front camera and thats not good also they should give u a converted for the memory card so u dont have to use the usb did any of your phones come with a bag and a stand
I've been using the phone for about a week and knew about certain *complaints* people had, so I'm going to give some explanation on what I think of the phone and on those complaints.
So far, the phone is great! I really love it.
Ok, so, if there is no sunlight, the quality of the pictures inside are highly dependent on the type of light that is used...when I was in my mall the photo quality was good, in my house....not so much. However, I did notice that if you set the scene to *Night time with Flash* while you are inside, it greatly enhances the quality of the picture you will be taking.
So far, I've had ZERO problems with this touch screen. People have said they need to get used to the amount of pressure u need to use...but I don't see that...unless you have the hands of a dead person, normal tapping/touching does fine.
Ok, so I think people just like to be picky and obnoxious because they can when it comes to the UI. the biggest complaints i've seen are
1. no kinetic scrolling
2.inconsistency on single/double taps
for the kinetic scrolling...meh, not a big deal to me. Yes, it is nice, but I haven't had any problems with the phone as it is so why complain if it's fine, seriuosly people, grow up.
as for the single/double tapping on certain things...where there is double tapping, such as selections in lists, i've yet to make a mistake as to what I want to choose, which i think is alot better than having to hit the wrong thing and go back and forth again.
Internet/ keyboard input
so the default browser isn't the greatest, but gets the job done over wifi...if you have a data plan than opera is great, and once skyfire releases compatibility for the 5800 I think browsing will be at it's peak on the device.
the onscreen keyboard is good and intuitive, I have made a few mistakes here and there but I type considerably fast on the thing as i'm used to using smaller keyboards. for the normal user I don't see any problem.
So far my only beef is with the camera, and that i shouldn't have to tweak settings just to take a decent picture indoors...but this is a minor issue as the phone is very user friendly, easy to transfer files to and from, customizability is good as well as apps available and will only get better as time goes on and the n97 grows closer.
so why not wait for the n97 you say??
Well as many know the selling point on this phone is the price, if you look around you can find it for about 300 bucks which is damn good for an unlocked phone of this quality, where as others such as the htc pro i was looking at are $450+ unlocked as well as others with the same capabilities...The phone's been great to me so far, I deem it a more than worthy buy from my standpoint...ask questions if you like and i will try to look and help.
I just want 2 say one word abt this mobile, bad not worst, because in a very low price u can get all the things which avail in mobile world
bad things are
1. touch quality is low
2. Camera quality is bad
3. voice quality
4. battery backup not that much what it promose
After reading the last few comments I think people need to grow up and use the site for the purpose it is intended, ie: assist others and give credible feedback, please people get a life !!
Mr. mohsen - Dont just speak without strings attached... In single word dont say lier. you are useless.. better be off from this place....
