Not old Nokia? Then don't buy it and don't go there. Ofcourse it's not the old Nokia but like hell I care about it. Where are the proof HMD is a Foxconn division? Bring it on. If you don't have any proof? Please kindly leave :)
Love the simple understated design. Too bad it has a dog of a SoC, otherwise I'd add one to the collection. I'd be even happy with a SD652...
1. Nokia is dead.
2. Samsung was popular in 2012/13/14. Note 4= last phone.
3. In 2019 OnePlus and Huawei will fall too.
4. Apple should stop making phones. Really.
This isn't the same Nokia from the good ol' days, this is not even a Finnish company. It is a division of Foxconn who now own the rights to the Nokia brand name. This is not a true Nokia phone.
Well i saw poeple fighting over Nokia brand . . . . Its HMD Global having a licence to use the *name* NOKIA & sell the phones .
Other than Google (in software) . . None else is actually innovating . . . People are running after low cost even if that means low quality .SONY has to shut its R&D down . . . Enjoy 😇😈
I very happy to hear that Nokia starting to make its make once again. These past few years there hasn't been big news about the company. But whoa, this is a really big step forward for this company. The company that made the most durable phones. My 1st phone was Nokia (no lie). The phone got dropped, scratched, drowned and thrown many times and still turn on. Hope this new phone will show same durability and reliability as it predecessors
Krish read before you comment, nokia was the best back in the day, they are doing their best here give them some credit....
Nokia always deliver top-quality and very innovative products. Look at N95 vs iPhone 2G or even 3G- iPhones looks like a bad joke. They came up with new ideas and design every years, some of them where great, some of them meh, but they always tried to innovate. And they never forgot to make great budget phones too. That's why Nokia stayed on top for that long. Sadly they understimated touchscreen and the fact people started to be app-addict (personally I have less than 20 user-installed apps and I'am fine with it).
Now look at today situation. You can use a phone from 2014 and miss absolutely nothing. NOTHING! A bit retouched OS, a bit better SoC, bigger and BIGGER screen, battery, RAM. Boom, that's all your innovation. And stupid dual cameras that in fact are not "dual":
1. iPhone 7+ just simply use 1 cam for 1x zoom and then SWITCH to tele cam with FIXED 50mm equivalent focal length for 2x zoom. Everything between or beyond that 1-2x zoom range is DIGITAL ZOOM. Portrait mode is purely a software to create bokeh effect- not work of optics. This is stupid and expensive solution that can't be matched with far superior Nokia's Pureview tech that allows looseless digital zoom.
2. Huawei dual cam consist of 1 "color" cam and one "monochrome" cam. Image of that monochrome cam is used as a contrast mask to enhance image contrast. A simple software trick that can be done on PC from just 1 image.
Only LG dual cam with 1 wide and 1 ultra wide has some real application.
Please Nokia, comeback and show those idiots how are great phones made. I beg you! Nokia flagship's 23MP camera stats are unknown but the 18.4" tablet seems to have a 12MP shooter capable of doing 4K video. FIRST 4K on the world - and many other innovations. We are counting on you Nokia!
Samsung lost it's crown after 5 years( talking about smartphones) and they are no longer number 1 for the fourth quarter of 2016.
Apple became no 1 for the last 4 months of the previous years.
Many more things are going to change since Nokia comes with android back to the business.
Nokia holds the biggest record ever staying on top for 14 whole years!
