AnonD-713438, 05 Nov 2017is this good phone?
how is the battery life and camera quality?
is there any heating issues?... moreYeah it's pretty good..
The camera is fine. You won't be displeased. Sharp, accurate colors, good dynamic range etc
Battery life is fine. Nothing spectacular but it's just ok. You'll get through a day.
It heats up slightly during charging and intensive tasks. Its 28 nm manufacturing process doesn't help that either.
None of that is a problem for me. I am not the type who constantly keeps fiddling with the device 24/7 and expect the battery to last for an eternity. Slight heating up is a non issue and the camera is as good as you can expect on a phone.

what is the best one when we comparing nokia 6 and Huawei P8 Lite (2017)?
pradeep, 05 Nov 2017Very nice mobile .. I have using since 5 months . no issue. No problem. .. Battery is soo muc... moreBattery life very bad, Gsmarena test battery endurance only 62hr compare to Xiaomi MiA1 82hr despite both phone has 3000mha Battery & same screen size 5.5" with 1080p display, both also running near Pure Android, Snapdragon 625 much better than Snapdragon 430 as 625 has 14nm while 430 still using old technology 28nm, MiA1 has 64GB ROM Nokia 6 only 32GB, both this phone also priced below 15000 rupee.
Nokia 6 need to upgrade to Snapdragon 630 & 6GB RAM 64GB ROM next year to stay competitive.
AnonD-712998, 04 Nov 2017Thank you verrrrrry much . Really appreciate your in depth reply.
One thing more. I use dual... moreCall dropping
No call drops yet. Calls connect flawlessly.
No network searching issue. Getting good 3g reception (i use single sim though). However, the network strength isn't very high. It's average. It gets 3 bars in my room, but my small android gets 4. However, calls and 3g internet works perfectly fine.
Earpiece is very loud and clear, I reduced volume to make it comfortable.
Microphone seems very clear so far. The person on the other side can even hear the bass of your voice.
While buying a phone, it's good to make a checklist of the things that you want from the device. Because every phone has its advantages and disadvantages.
For example my checklist was -
OK speed and fluidity (for running Google sheets, Google docs , 1080p video)
Decent earphone audio output
OK camera (average details, accurate colors and WB)
However, this phone brings wayy more to the table than I needed.

All in all very nice phone. I am using it two weeks now. Without any problem. No lagging, durable battery - two days min. Nice camera too. I recommend it. Much for the money. Mine is TA-1033 model.

One thing more. I use dual sim always. Does it have any issue like frequent call drop or network searching issue or freezing while calling? (I'm facing same problem In Huawei GR5 2017 ) . How is In call sound : is it loud enough or muffled ?
Thanks in advance.
Try out this phone in 3 occasion, sad to say it lagged, Snapdragon 430 is a weak processer, Nokia should have put in Snapdragon 625 or 630 with 4 or 6GB of RAM.
AnonD-713104, 04 Nov 2017which version of nokia 6 is global version? TA1000, TA 1003, TA 1021 or other one? Mine is TA-1021 and it's global. The global one has a metallic ring around the camera bump and there's so Chinese text on the box.
AnonD-712998, 04 Nov 2017Hi can you tell me when nokia 6 is plugged into its default headphones how is the audio outp... moreMicrophone issue - noise cancelation is too aggressive. Far away noise are canceled out, but close noise is picked up well. Microphone hardware is very good, quite sharp and picks up the bass well. A software update could fix that.

thami, 03 Nov 2017Hi, i'm planing to buy a Nokia 6. What can you say 'bout the quality of the front cam images ... moreWhen you are inside the room or when in low light pictures are average....but in the outside light pictures are awesome....crystal clear.... I don't know about Samsung J7...Its my experience.. I love this Nokia 6
AnonD-712483, 03 Nov 2017Specs only speak one side of the story. My experience with the Nokia 6 has been extremely flui... moreYes bro... I too love this...and also I never face any issue of lagging/hanging even when I play Modern Combat 5, Clash of Calns, Asphalt 8 also.... except little heating

I too enjoy its sound quality and it depends on the quality of ear phones too... especially when am inside the room the loud speaker does a pretty good job....I really could feel Dolbay Atmos sounds..
AnonD-712998, 04 Nov 2017Hi can you tell me when nokia 6 is plugged into its default headphones how is the audio outp... moreI'm an audiophile like you but on a budget haha. Let's get to the questions one by one.
The default headphones provided are not suitable for music. I didn't even try them. Wait a sec I ll give them a shot. Yeah they're pretty crap. They're like the headphones you'd get with old Nokia java phones. You'll need 3rd party headphones. The Xiaomi in ear 2017 series earphones are good. They are around 10-30$.
Audio output with good earphones
If you're desperately looking for phones with good audio at this price point, listening to music via the Nokia 6 will bring a tear of happiness to your eyes. It's soo beautiful. The bass, the mids, the highs, the soundstage, the sound profile, the volume - everything is presented really well imo. The bass is adequate, but doesn't overwhelm and the soundstage isn't as narrow as a cramped up bathroom.
Gsmarena does publish audio tests for various devices but they are not a 100% representation of the practical experience. Gsmarena gave high scores to j7 pro for its audio, but when I tried it hands on, it sounded awful. Wayy too much bass and everything muddled up. No thank you. Same goes for the galaxy s5, gsmarena gave it excellent scores, but in reality it sounds like a tin can (the SD 801 Version).
The Nokia 6 has really good audio output Imo. Of course it's not 100% flawless, but it is one of the if not the best sounding device I've tested. It's also more than loud enough for me.
If you use large headphones, take it to the store and try it on the phone before buying. But for regular ear/headphones, it should have enough power to drive them.
It has two dolby enhancement options.
1. Music mode - on headphones,it improves isolation, soundstage and clarity.
2. Theater mode - it improves the directional audio by a big margin. If you like binaural asmr stuff, you'll be surprised at what it can do.
I usually have them turned off, because tinkering around is annoying.
While video/audio recording, this phone has strong noise cancellation at work, which makes far away noises choppy. But closeup audio like nearby voices are clear. But imo there should be an option for us toggle this feature, because I don't like noise cancellation.
Headphone hardware is really good. It captures clear audio with adequate bass, but the noise cancellation makes the sound choppy in loud environments. This is the only flaw with this device. It can be fixed with a software update.
Phew. That's quite a huge wall of text. Thanks for reading.
