Choice of ring tones is awfal. Why can't I just have a regular ring ring style tone and not the electronic stuff that it comes with.

How do you activate the backlight on this phone without sending any input? When the backlight switches itself off after about 10 seconds of no input, it's difficult to see what's on the screen. Pressing any button will switch it back on. However, it also sends that key's input, which is annoying when you can't really see what's on the screen, as it might activate/change/exit something you didn't want to.

I was using nokia 3120 and was happy with it.Now i have 6030. All it has is radio and 65k colours extra. The major draw back is the un availablity of data cable. I dont agree that the 4 pin usb given is for software upgrade because all the nokia phones have a slot under the battery for software upgrade and reset. I saw a message in nokia site that it is a plug and play connecter for which the data cable will be availabe.. lets see.......

Ans:- while making a call, use the headsets and after that menu> call register> call duration> active call duration.

i hav bought 6030 a month back and i am satisfied with the display service of the mobile the piece is very attractive..

how to download Ring tones via GPRS?
how to Charge the mobile to get a long lasting Battery Power?
is it necessarry to change the original panel ? how much the original panel costs?
how to activate MMS?
and lot more but i ll get back once i get solutions for these questions!!! please someone over there help me !!!!!!!

In response to all those questions as to whether your Nokia 6030 supports data connectivity through cable, the saddening answer is NO. The port at the bottom of the phone (it's a 4-pin Mini-USB port) is only for servicing (ie software upgrades, flashing etc).
