Hey guys, today i bought a cable from a camera store which actually fitted the connector but i have no drivers at all and the windows doesn't recognise it, can anyone who bought the data cable with drivers e-mail me the drivers please, i'm from Peru so it's difficult for me to get those drivers.
I have had this phone a couple of weeks now and am very happy with it. I am not one who wants to be judged by the kind of phone I use, after all its just a phone. I just need to make calls and send messages, but it is a good looking phone and serves me well in my needs.
However, I have had big problems with data transfer. I bought the USBF cable (I bought it in Cambodia for $9 which I thought was expensive as its a $0.5 cable)its says N6030 sieries cable on the box. I down loaded the PC suite from the Nokia website. I got a few demo programmes with the cable, the only one I found that would recognise the phone was oxygen, the link is somewhere on this thread. It has taken me 3 hours to get it working but YES there is connectivity to PC but only with USB f cable and Oxygen. It was most annoying to see that the cable was recognised by my pc but not by the programme.I believe that when you buy a phone its about time it comes with all the back up cables and installation CDs. It would cost Nokia next to nothing.
I THINK THAT ITS SHODDY THAT NOKIA DO NOT ALLOW CONNECTIVITY WITH 6060 and PC SUITE. Its propably because the phone is a little old now and they want you to upgrade it.
Remember - You must get your computer to recognise the cable before you download the programme.
Let me also add this - the keypad is great; very easy to use for SMS. Those of you who want a phone with no camera, this phone is for you. Very affordable and simple to use.
I bought this phone recently and was surprised to find that it is so easy to use and value for money. Those of you who complained about the lack of features, please don't forget that this is an entry-level phone. Don't expect to get a Mercedes when you're paying for the price of a Hyundai. What you pay is what you'll get. This phone is great.
This is a very good handset to make calls, receive calls , send sms & receive sms.
But for gprs its very very dubakur handset often its getting hanged.
NOKIA 6060? i haven't bought one yet. i'm planning to though. i think it's really stylish and trendy. black is just the right color if you wanna look class. right now, i have an SONY ERICSSON T630. it works okay. the only thing why i like my T630, is has a camera. that's just about it. NO video and NO MP3. i wanna know if which screen is big. the NOKIA 6060 or SONY ERICSSON T630. i mean, the display image. are they the same size? please reply asap. thanks!
To change the speaker volume, push the right button of the center, while you're talking to someone.
This is a fine phone. No software problems at all. One of Nokia's success stories.
No point wishing for more when the specs are already defined.
A reliable phone.. will give it 9/10
Could someone enlighten me about how to change the microphone and speaker volume on a 6060? I cant find a word about it in the manual nor find any suitable buttons... Please help!
i am a proude owner of nokia 6060, but i am very much confused about the connectivity of my moble with the computer. i have no clue with what kind of data cable it should be connected with my computer. if u can suggest me i will be thankful of yours. bye
CLAMSHELL/FLIP phones were only meant to be produced by Samsung. I was this close of going out and buying this phone cause I loved the slimness and design of it, especially the silver one. But after I saw the reviews, there is no way in hell I'de buy this phone over my current E310 Samsung. If you want excellent flip phones with excellent performance and don't care much about the extra fancy unneccesary features, go for Samsung. This is how I look at Nokia and Samsung. Nokia is like Windows and Samsung is like Apple. One has a million features but will get very slow and crash alot, the other will never get slow no matter wat, and has the essential features.

I brought this mob a week ago.. stylish and wonderful to use.. only disadvantage is that it doesn't have bluethooth or IR.. otherwise the best mob..
i got the fone a while ago and honestly i think its cool.safe for the non availability of a camera and the low memory, the package and lightness in terms of weight makes it very unique.
Yes, it's a beatiful phone, I bought it from Helsinki. Best design ever. I also was sad that it has no PC connection, but: I found a FBUS cable from Romania (http://www.telgsm.com/bursa/afisare_anunt-17019.htm). I confirm that it's working with MobiMB Mobile Media Browser and Oxygen Phone Manager II, and probably other sw.
I downloaded one mp3 and a picture into it.
Now I'm completly satisfied about it.
But I'm wondering why Nokia strongly recomend not use the respective FBUS port! :-))
it is a beautiful set...the problem is with its body, the chrome on it ends up with a new scratch when ever u put it in ur pocket...but overall it is a gud cell when compared with its price
Bought it three months ago and it has failed, will not charge the battery, bought a new battery and will not charge that, it bleeps went connecting to charge but nothing happens. What a rubbish phone
this fone sucks big balls.i bought one the other day and i wasn't even told that it doesnt have a camera.the add said that it had a camera and the nokia company didnt fix that typo. argh! now what?i spent so much money on this damn fone for nothing.it looks good in my toilet now. - Jen.
