I can't see on the display when the phone is off the battery charging indicator....wierd.
The major problem in Nokia 6080 is that while talking, some numbers like 6,5,4 gets automatically dialed & displayed on the screen(although the keypad is LOCKED) in the form of 66665656444466555.As a result, the caller/receiver at the other end feel that
some other call is coming at this phone. This is very much problemetic.Nowadays,NOKIA is also running in the rat race of making only businesses without looking at the QUALITY/STANDARDS.I think NOKIA should replace this set as a DEFECTIVE PRODUCT with a set of next version GOOD ONE.I will also approach them for the same, till i get any solution.

Hi...my old 6080 was a really cool phone....i had one until yesterday when it was stolen...problem was its small memory otherwiswe i experienced no problems with the keypad...had a lasting battery...i advice if you are buying one, buy from a reputable phone dealer....i've been shopping for a new phone today...i'm convinced i'll go get myself a new 6080.
Do not by! Problems with the keypad, it writes numbers on the screen when I am speaking, and this is at the second day. The service couldn' t repair it. The shop changed it with onother one, new too, and the same problem emediatelly!
I also have the same problem of keypad, while talking the buttons are automatically pressed.so i suggest not to buy it cos it create lot of disturbance while talking which is really very irritating.
It's a nice stylish phone. I like it because it can display a fullscreen animated gif as a wallpaper.
But the memory isn't large enough to save many big files, and it doesn't support external memory. Fun for surfing web pages, but not full displayed.
Easy to carry.
Connection uses cable data and infrared, instead of bluetooth.
So, the choice is yours.. though I'm still using it now.
Waqas,I have the problem with the keypad. But a friend of mine who has the same phone says his phone works fine.So if you'd like to take the risk is up to you,but I would recommend you NOT to buy 6080,you don't know how yours will be.
now a days i m considering to buy a new phone... plz guide me about Nokia 6080... i read the problems about keypad... plz tell me is it a good choice or i should buy Nokia 6070? my name is waqas, plz help me regarding this matter...
is it possible to assign different Ringtons to different ppl in your phone book,if so how?
is the lighting in this phone a little bit dim or it is just my phone, coz 6070 models display is brighter than this one?
the keypad behave very strange and dialed automatically during call, i think nokia should replace a new different model and present to customers
I also have the problem with the keypad.I don't know if I can solve the problem on waranty. It is really annoying.I've noticed that is also pushes itslef even when I use the speaker.Did anyone had the phone replaced?
the keypad of this phone is very sensitive. gets automatically dialled after connection with cheek. i think nokia should withdraw this model frmo the users and provide free of cost replacement with higher version immediately.
I'm having data transfer problems with this phone as I have tried with all the data cables suggested in Nokia website. Can anyone enlighten me as to which particular data cable is best suitable for this model. I have the latest Nokia PC Suite software downloaded from Nokia website. Thanks.
