help!!! help!!!!! i just need to get this dust out from behind my display, it's just not fair. hey you know, i've managed to load 32 of my favourite cd's into this phone (with the 2 gig sd, of course). but the dust is getting me down. when it's sunny, all i see is white dust!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! do i attempt to dismantle the thing and clean it myself???? i don't know!!!!!! steve
I'll ask the question again. Please does anyone know I can access behind the main display, for the purpose of removing dust? I've read elsewhere that this is practically impossible without causing damage to the phone. I can't really justify giving the phone to Nokia service to get it cleaned????????
I love this phone, was handed over to me by my son when he bought his new phone. Lost during typhoon Ondoy and found lying in the garage pavement after the flood. Soaked and cleaned with tap water, sun dried for 3 days and amazingly worked perfectly like nothing had ever happened.
Anonymous, 28 Mar 2010previously the display went blank so took to a local shop now happened again wat to do?Probably the flex cable has come loose inside the flap (display) part of the phone. I just fixed my wife's phone with the same problem (intermittent blank screen). Open up the flap part and press the connector back into the socket. However, it's probable that it will come loose again, so I recommend applying some hot glue to help the cable stay put.
it s wonderfull set....stylish set,looking soo cute...very economic...good sound also...

The battery life is good and the big keypad is very convenient for typing.

Here's one for you - Without damaging my 6085, do you know how I can access behind the main display cover to remove dust. I have forgiven this phone for it's average display, but now with two years of dust behind it, it's really difficult to see it in sunlight???
