(im leaning towards the nokia as i do like clamshell fones) plz help!
Well, almost a week has been past since I've got this phone.
My opinion hasn't changed much, since the first impression i've had.
The phone is still very nice to look at (black version), I don't mind the fingerprints anymore...
The usage is good and no (software) problems encountered this past week.
I paid 250 euro's for it... Normal price here in The Netherlands, a bit expensive. But don't pay more than this, or else you're really wasting money.
i'm thinking to buy the Nokia 6101..i just Bought the Nokia 6680 2 days ago..and when i saw the Nokia 6101 i loved it..love from the first sight..and i'm going to buy it next week..soo what do u say guys should i ..or its just wasting money..?? and thank you..and for pple who has it...tell me whats teh bad things in it and thanks
After the lauch of SE 750i, the K700i is nearly the same price as the N6101, and much better I think. This Nokia phone seems only good in looks.
The Phone looks cool. It's a very good one from NOKIA, but MP3 qulaity is not that good.
to 'sam' on australian websites for this phone the cost ranges from $350 to $420, so yeah might not be $400 or so, just have to look around. but then buying it from shops will probs be bit more expensive...but yeah just look round where you live
and thanks 'Mark' good review and information
Hi. Reception seems fine, although its all network dependant. I am on Tesco mobile and that runs from o2 and i dont get very good signal with o2 in my area. But T-Mobile, Virgin, Orange etc all run fine with great reception strenght. It all depends on the area and network your in.
hey everyone!l hope this fone is good cuz im goin 2 buy it next week in australia and it cost $400 well ill say more when l get it
I love the look of this new Nokia, but am also disappointed at the lack of features. I just spoke with O2 on the phone and they say it will be released tomorrow (26th July) and will be free to Pay Monthly new customers and upgrades. I think it's only available in white.
how's the reception so far? can it be compared to any previous nokias? (6230, 3595, etc.) let us know.
Hi all. Just responding to the white/black situation everyone is having. Personally i think the white is better than the black. Mainly because the black glossy finish on the front of the handset will pick up lots of fingerprints and its annoying. Its something you dont want to see on your brand new mobile - i had the same problem with my black Siemens SF65, and after a few days of rubbing everyones and my own finerprints off the phones body, it resulted in lots of cosmetic scratches. Sadly. But the white gloss doesnt show the finger prints as harshly which is a good thing. Most of the time you dont even think any are there. Mark
Its love at first sight!!! Gosh, finally Nokia come up with this nice flip fone. Im going to get mine this week. Is white better than black??? thanks
Just bought mine today, the black version.
The fingerprints are well seen on the glossy black part... Perhaps it is less seen on the white 6101?
My first impression is quite good, keyboard is VERY comfortable to use, the inner display shows a very high quality.
Only one big minus... The MP3-function (as ringtone or alarm-alert): the speaker-quality is very poor. The sound is too high and no bass is heared. Polytones are better on this phone.
I'll post another comment next week or so, when I have more experience with it.
Is the glossy black cover of the phone a fingerprint magnet? and now after a couple of days of use, how's battery life and reception?
Hi all. Well, for the person who asked if you could assign ringtones to individual people then im afraid that you cant. I just had a look and it doesn't appear to be an avaliable option. Hope this helps.
As for the sturdiness of the Nokia 6101 for cfrock, i think it is a really solid construction. It feels like any other high class flip phone on the market. Really sturdy and solid. It has a great close action and feels solid when you flip the phone shut. It becomes loose when the phone is open - enough so you can close the phone with one hand but it doesnt hinder the phones already well built construction. Its actually quite handy in some cases!
So there you have it. Good solid design that feels like it wont break within a week. I'm lovin this phone at the moment and i'm sure you all will too! Mark.
Hi all, am willing to buy this phone tomorow for my mom, and she really likes to adjust deffirant ringtones to outher ppl cuz it makes it more easy for her. I read on a previous post that the 6101 dosent support this, I just wanted to make sure if this feature is available or not, so please if any one has the phone to reply me back. Thanks so much
