Could I get some help please?
I have a sony ericsson K700 at the moment and my last phone was also a sony ericsson. I'm looking for a new phone and fell in love with the pink 6111, mainly because its pink and little! lol.
Is it worth getting? Iv read some bad comments but also some good? Or are there any other phones you guys can recommend!?
well i posted a comment about a month ago about how bad this phone is, this is my fifth phone now, i have the one in pink, it now seems to charge ok, but everytime i recieve a txt message i get a blank txt below is that says unsupported message type delete so i do and then it wont let me enter my in or out box so have to turn it off every txt i get and lose the original txt i was sent! anyone know why this is? otherwise it is a lovely little phone.
To Ally. I also have the Nokia 6111, and I also live in SA. To send pics, videos, etc. you just open the file, go to "options" and select send. You then choose the way u want to send it. By infrared for example. But make sure the other phone's Infra port is next to yours.
@tony: Damn are you from nokia or what?? this phone is horrible! if you have a better than mine, let us change the phones, so you can see some phones are produced when nokia was sleeping!
Ive had the 6111 a couple of months and had no problems so far. The slide mech works fine, one thing I did find a problem was the battery life a bit short but if you let it run right down and give it a full charge, it lasts alot longer. Other than that its a quality phone.
this is the worst nokia i have had,it feels like a plastic toy ! buttons hard to push, navigation button desined for tom thumb, i keep going to wrong place ! it is being sent back.
Hi guys, I just bought my 6111 in SA & its cool.Am just wondering if s'one can help tell mi how to use blutooth/infrared to send/receive pics, vids n tones? O'wise the fon is great, no problems so far (Its been a week!) I hop it keeps in da same coolposition.
i was thinking about getting this phone but after hearing all the reveiws im putting a cancel imediately on that. i think im gonna rather go for the n70. id rather spend that extra cash then sit with i life time of problems and irritations. thanks for the reveiws its a help.
Got a 6111 for my wife - it's the most difficult phone we have ever used - the centre button within the 4-way ring is almost impossible to press correctly. Half the time when pressed it touches the ring and activates the camera - the conventional keypad looks lovely but the keys are too slippery.
Now my wife wants my Sonny Ericsson K750i but she aint getting it. So it's bigger - but it was designed by an engineer and not a hairstylist.
hej, maybe it will be better if you cancel?! i had no good experience with that phone.
don't wish t have the 6280, it's the same horrible phone. my boyfriend had that before the d600e. buy better the 6230i or the w810i from sony ericsson.
now i am waiting to get back my 6111... i brought it today again to the nokia servicce point... now i can wait again 2 weeks to get back. all in all iused the phone 1 week and 1 day, the rest of the month april and may it was at the repair station...
After scouring the shops and online stores for this phone (yes, in pink) I finally got mine at the weekend. Horrid is all I can say - my previous phone was a D500 and this is such a poor phone in comparison! Poor quality camera & video, mediocre sound quality and as for the radio - that doesn't work. Wish I'd gone for the 6280 now!
OMG I heard it was a good phone so I ordered it and its coming in 2 days should I cancel?
i hate this phone i wish i never got it! it makes horrible sounds, the buttons are hard to press and it keeps on turning itself off is soo annoying! i would like to take it back and moan but my dad saying is fine is ****! everything about it is rubbish!i cant wait till my next birthday so i can get a better phone! I HATE THIS PHONE!NOKIA IS CRAP!!!!!
Bad news... i have my repaired mobile back... pah it seems like nobody touched that phone. its like before i brought it to the nokia service point. just horrible!! so i think, every fault (cam, speakers, sliderproblem, buttons, battery, software....) is just NORMAL!! :-((( i am wondering, how nokia could make such a bad phone. I ever had nokia and never problems before that little piece of ****. don't buy it!!!!!!
heard that the battery will get flat easily...how long does it take to recharge again??...ard how many days to charge again??
@rajib: i had the 6230i too... comparing to the 6111 just heaven on earth. now i have the 6111, okay i had it, i can go to my mobilezone shop at monday and get it back... hope it will be better now, the cam was worse too. and a lot of more things weren't so great. (see my other posts).
@neetu: My phone had too problems with the sound quality. my ears were going damaged becuase of that speaker. just horrible.
greez and nokia, make it better!!!
Is anyone having problems with the sound quality? I feel that there is an echo/hollow sound when I talk on the phone. I just started using the phone today. Is this normal or should I go return it?
Had it over five months and guess wad its creaks evertime i open or close the fone. The camera aint good too.Not worth the money dis phone is pathetic
I've had a Nokia 6111 for 2 weeks now. This is my 4th mobile phone - always used Nokia - always happy with'em - but this was bit of a disappointment - specially after Nokia 6230i I was using for the past 1 year. The sound is a whine, and if somehow the small aperture where the sound comes out get covered by something - say a hanky in the same pocket - that's it, you wont hear the phone ringing, whereas my 6230i roars wherever you keep it, and has a "fuller" voice, not a whine. The picture quality is not good - specially after using Nokia 6230i.
I'm keeping it anyway 'cos I think I got a good deal - free phone, 12 months contract @ £30/m (200 minutes anytime any network airtime + 50 texts included), £360 cashback (if they don't refuse it on some pretext or other) - hence effectively free. Whenever I this phone disappoints - and often so - I become philosophical - and tell myself : "there is no such thing as a free lunch".
