Mike, 30 Aug 2008Did u get it from an authorised dealer?yes , I am not saying the phone is bad , offcourse its better than 3110c for its wide varity application available and camera fast reponse ....
all i am saying that i missed some options that was in my old 3110c and i did used to use it alot :)
i have a problem with this phone some time it screen is off is this my phone problem or model problem??????plz reply
Hi there , I got my 6120c 3 days ago , after my 3110c being stolen :(
I was somehow not determined about which phone to get next , my first thinking was to go for 3120C with 3.5G support and better Camera .
I also considered some other phones like 5610 , 5220 , 5310 .....
Offcourse I expected to have a better class phone by choosing a Symbian S60 Phone like 6120c , However I missed alot of options that was available ibn my 3110c ( S40 ) Software which is not Found in such high class S60 phones !!!!
Comparison between 6120 and 3120 classic :
Comparison between 6120 and 3110 classic :
First of all , My bad impression came from Nokia PC Suite Backup software , yes it restored all my contacts and other details but i missed Contacts' Groups detail , and that was indeed a bad miss .
Lets look about cons of Symbian Software :
1- its font is so small , specially for a 2'' screen (even after adjusting font to large), in 3110 Icons in Main Menu wre much more bigger with option to choose the size of Icons , I can't see this available in 6120c .
2- S60 Software seems to be SLOW , S40 in 3110c was much more responsive , despite the fact that 6120c is known to be fast compared to other S60 phones !!
3- theres is No Option to show Contacts from both SIM Card and Phone Memory ; Generally there's much more options in Contacts for 3110c than in that Symbain kit :)
4- Most irritating thing for me , is that the 'LOG' accessed from 'call key' does Not have a detalied information about each phone call , I have to go to Log from Main Menu to go to detalied log , to c for example the duration of the call .
5- When deactivating "Active Standby" and trying to edit Shortcuts of D-pad and other 2 keys , and when searching for possible Shortcuts available , I can NOT find Some important FUNCTIONAL options like "Messages inbox" , "Applications Folder" , "Alarm" and "Notes".
6- In "Notes" application , the one in 3110c had the optino to insert current time and date , i missed such option alot in 6120c .
7- Camera Shutter sound can't be muted .
8- In a Cotnact Details , Email addresses dont show up fully , and no option to enter to it to be able to c it fully ; the same applies to log when trying to see the full name of the contact (for long names).
9- The phone takes about 10 seconds to start up !!!
In fact , I didnt expect to get all such downs compared to a lower class phone.
Another thing , keypad of 6120 is so much Trafficed :) , i can hardly differentiate between keys , specially at keys around D-pad .
Iam nashwan live in nurth of iraq in kurdistan iam very love in 6120 becuse mee and here mobeli thanks bye
