I own this phone &
noticed a major bug
If you have saved a
contact with more than
one numbers say mobile
& office number
(remember both have
different built in
incoming call alerts the
contact icon remains
same no matter the
caller made this call
from his mobile number
or his office number. Any
body notice this or not ?
Any tip to solve this
Im looking to purchase a nokia mobile 6110 navigator or the nokia 6120. Which is the better of the two?
i use to use nokia but i currently have a z500 samsung. ive enjoyed this mobile phone but i want to update.Any suggestions?
for me, this phone is a combination of E series and N series... it's a very good phone! but the comment in the review that it's got 3 font sizes to choose from is quite misleading... what it referred to actually was the display font and NOT the messaging font, as i found out to my disappointment, coz like the E series phones, 6120 has got small fonts for messaging. i hope nokia can take adjustable messaging fonts into consideration in every phone they will produce in the future.
Symbian series phones doesnt have a screen saver option. And the wallpapers only cover the space between the status area and the left hand option and right hand option on the screen. If you go online you will find softwares that can provide screen savers for the phone. Im not sure how reliable they are and how far they honestly work.
hey can anyone tell me the pearl white version's silver lining by the side, will it wear off? and the directional button's silver too... anyone??
In is my experience I have never felt my 6120 getting hot!? Got it for 2-3 weeks. Have made some calls that lasted 30min.
It has Symbian OS... You can personalize with themes, set wallpaper... font size has 3 settings. Have in mind though that the screen size is small (2" I believe) and it's not well suited for people with bad sight. You can see the video on this site and read the reviews.. there must be a lot of info out there...
About the screen saver... there is actually a power saver mode... but after a minute the screen goes into deep sleep (nothing is displayed, this is noted in the review I think). There is an application called cClock that you can use to get around this.
One more time I would like to note that the phone has Symbian OS. You can create folders files, whatever you like. I think that mesut was talking about the image gallery and the tracks list. The folders are flattened there. You can make virtual folders for the first one though and create playlists for the second. I don't see a big problem there although Nokia could have done better.
there are lot of ppl saying that this phone gets heated up.. i am going to import this phone is a weeks time.. its not available in my country yet... but i hope ppl who say that it gets heated up , know that new phones do get heated because its a fresh start... its normal... if its otherwise do let me know.. someone who has this phone since a log time and still the heating persists...
Can anyone tell me, the cons of this 6120 classic phone besides the design, high radiation? How about the font for text messages? Is it big?
Hey Guys, can anyone tell if you can change the wallpaper and the screen saver for this phone? can you change the font and make it larger?
I have the E50 and I can't change the wallpaper and it doesn't have a screen saver, font is very small and I can't make it large either :(
Thanks alot guys!!!
i went form 6233 to 6120 thinking its abetter phone. Now, DONT DO IT! because speaker is not loud as the 6233 and also in the memory card u cant make the folders the way u like. Its just small and way faster but otherwise stick to 6233
About the battery... playing a lot with the phone will require a recharge in 2-3 days. I haven't left it alone since I bought it and I recharge it that often. Also I have put cClock which also drains the battery a bit more. To summarize: the battery is not that performant but I would call it decent for the mini PC you have got.
Light but powerful smartphone
Bad camera (no autofocus, greeny night photos)
Susceptible to fingerprints
Bof, read the review :)
Overall I'm happy for getting the phone. SymbianOS is cool. Micro SD of 2GB suits it well.
Honestly, battery is very good last for 1.5 days with high talk time/sms/internet usage.. Never used such Fast symbian OS, 6233 is also ok but thats not symbian. Video streaming is also average.
which one would you choose?
6120 classic / 6233 / E65
6233 is a good phone but i hate it's conservative design
Can anybody please tell me about its battery performance when used with Bluetooth Handsfree?
I am thinking to get Planatronics Handsfree - are they any good or can anyone please suggest something better?
I have this phone for 1 month and is a great phone. The heating "phone" is true, but my phone is heating after a very high usage, high usege means 30 min-1h of talking.I'm disapointed by the batery... my batery last 1 - max 2 days.Great experience i have whent i surfe'd the net with this cell phone and i feel the diference from 3G to 3,5G with HSDPA!You don't feel that you have a simbyan phone si working great the proc make the difference. In conclusion this is a great phone end you can buy'it at a good price.
Love this phone, have it for 3 months, but:
- Battery problem - with 3g on, the battery duration is 55 minute continuous talking. I usualy use it on GSM mode. This is no problem while browsing on the net, beacuse i use the opera mini browser which is the lightest browser around, and the pages are usualy 40k. So there is nor great diference between using it 3g or gsm.
- The screen heats a lot... again on 3g. On GSM no problem.
- Sometime there are problems with the calender, with alarms not going off, or sayin that that due to a change of date the alarm didn't go off. But there were no changes on the date.
- For 2 times the speaker/ring went mute although a call was taking place. Turned it off. And it was ok then.
