How many contacts can this phone hold ? 1000 ? I hope so.
Alos- have you noticed - there haven't been any reviews of this phone on the web - its like it is the poor cousin of the 6131. Please gsm arena - review this phone.
RECEIVED EMAIL REPLY FROM NOKIA. CONFIRMED. this 6125 has NO A2DP profile. The information u see on the official website is FAKE. at best, it is outdated, at worst it is a horrible LIE.
for now its still Nokia 8800.
6131 and 6125 have quite similar sw and I think that same 1000 phonebook entries concerns also 6125.
Hey ! Thanks for the reply re the 850 Mhz band . I guess I should be prectical and get the 6125 since the WCDMA 2100 doesn't even work in the US either .
Another question - how many contact entries does the 6125 take ? I know that the 6131 has 1000 entries but nothing has been said about the 6125.I rang Nokia and they could only tell me that the phonebook uses the internal memory - I know that - but - howm any contacts doe it take -255 (? like mobile-review.com says in their specifications section ) , 500 contacts like the mobile dealers I have spoken to said - or limited only to the internal memory like Nokia said.
Someone please help and gsmarena please do a review of this phone !!!!!!!!
If you use phone in US then 850 Mhz band is important. The 1900 Mhz band is quite bad in many places. But its is up to you to decide whether to buy
I posted earlier but noone replied .Please help. Should I go for the cheaper quad band 6125 or should I go for the 3G triband N71. I will use the phone in the US and in Europe. Is the 850 mhz band that important ?
"The availability of the product and its features depends on your area and service providers, so please contact them and your Nokia dealer for further information. These specifications are subject to change without notice."
so i suppose these companies think that after saying the above paragraph they can stop updating their websites frequently about features which have become non-existent...
anyway, i hav been to europe nokia website and the "stereo audio over bluetooth" line is not there anymore. so, i suppose chances are im just dreaming that future fw updates will include A2DP.
having said all these, i need to clarify however that the other features of this phone are really good and the series 40 interface hav really improved a lot from the 6230i's interface, sms is really great and convenient. my suggestion(if anyone actually listens) is to allow users to create and edit playlists within the phone without the need to use the music manager software(like the series 60 phones)...and isit so difficult to make video clips rewind/forwardable on their series 40 phones????
For people who dont and wont ever use bluetooth stereo headset, they can conveniently ignore this post. but for those who do or intend to, and if u see on the official nokia website that this phone supports stereo audio over bluetooth wireless technology, happily get this phone and a stereo bluetooth headset, only to realise that there is no way to stream stereo audio via bluetooth to the phone, how would you feel?
i am still awaiting nokia's reply of whether this phone will support A2DP in future firmware. they had better answer a yes..... T_T
Got it. The screen is less than impressive, and playback volume is a bit on the inaudible side for use in noisy areas, albeit very clear. Radio is good, interface is very good and responsive. I chose this one over the 6131 because I prefer longer battery life to sexier screens. The design is a bit more hammy than Samsungs clamshells, which I believe is the markets finest aesthetically speaking.
"To enhance the sound experience, the Nokia 6125 supports stereo audio over Bluetooth wireless connectivity and features a stereo FM radio,"
the fact is nokia did not change the statement/description on their fact sheet(look at the nokia website features, its still there) and they are going to continue to mislead consumers like that??? Sure, some people here would say why im so impatient maybe they'd include it in a future FW.MAYBE. then Nokia should have made this clear!!!! whatever kind of weird criticism some people here like to throw, nobody would like to put a phone feature on its official website which doesnt exist, which is supposed to exist but does not, which may exist in future but not giving any update to consumers.
Nokia 6125 has not A2DP feature. It was supposed to support it but for some reason it was left out as you have noticed.
The 6125 user guide doesnt even give any bit of trace of hint on A2DP, and A2DP wasnt even listed amongst the many profiles listed in the manual. I have Itech R35 and there was no way i could stream stereo audio via bluetooth from the 6125.my 6125 only recognised R35 as a normal bluetooth headset and could at most stream mono quality music(which nobody would use to listen to music). however, the nokia website have explicitly mentioned in the features and fact sheet that it supports "Stereo Audio over bluetooth technology". and up till today, its still there on the website. the thing i would like to know is, has anyone tried ANY a2dp stereo bluetooth headset on 6125 and it actually WORKED???!?(for they can easily say no guarantee 3rd party enhancements will work on it)for e.g., nokia HS12W? Moto HT-820? Samsung? if none of them work, then what does this say about Nokia? I bought this set chiefly because of its supposedly A2dp compatibility.
Hoever, this issue aside, i hav to admit im quite impress by this phone's features. if u dont ever need A2DP at all then this problem wont spoil your experience with the phone.
In conclusion, i still cannot come to a definite answer of whether this phone supports A2DP. anyone help please!
i bought the 6125 last week as replacement for my n6230. i noticed that the camera is too sensitive to motion and the phrase "message sent" or "message sending failed" doesn't appear. but generally, the phone is excellent. it's battery life is better than my other phone (n6230i) and the software (if that's what you call it) is far more better than my previous phone (n6101). kudos to nokia for the n6125!
