Thanks for your reply. I was unsure of that checked symbol!! Though my problem is different to what your thinking of. The camera appears, but if I go to “capture” the picture the standby screen comes up and won’t allow me to take the picture. If I press continue, the same thing happens (no matter how long the camera has been switched on for).
If anybody has any more suggestions I would much appreciate it.
Thanks very much for your help, Kiri
on my 6131, theres always been a blue/white chequered square below the camera symbol and.. when i leave the camera on and it goes on the standby screen, the camera symbol has a red line through it.
i dont think its the memory card's problem. i dont really know much about the camera as i dont use it much myself.
i hope this helps. ollie
Everytime i click the capture button the "camera on standby" screen appears, as well as this, the camera symbol gets a red "slash" through it.
When I turn the camera on there is a blue and white checkered symbol under the camera symbol (I didn't notice if that was there before the problem arose).
The camera was working perfectly fine one day then the very next this started. I've asked 2 of my photography teachers to look at it but they dont know eigther.
I have a 2gb memory card in the phone but I dont think that is the cause. I've tried taking it out but no change. There doesn't appear to be any setting options that would effect it.
Thankyou for taking the time to read this. Please reply asap.
To sofie-- Whenever a mms msg is received , it is always stored in phone's memory. So , its got to do nothing with ur 1 gb sandisk memory card. Do one thing. Go to messages and if u scroll down , thr is an option called ' delete messages '. So , delete all ur msgs in ur inbox. Probably this would solve ur problem. Else , try formatting ur phone memory. Give it to ur nearest nokia care centre , and tell them ur problem. They ll reset the handset to factory settings ( all ur messages and contacts in phone memory will be erased ). But u ll get back ur handset in perfect condition. Trying doing all these and lets hope ur phone works fine.
since i received an mms message, yeah,my friend sent it to me using chikka.com from her pc,when i received it,suddenly my phone turned on and off, and there's a promt on the screen that there is still coming messages, then the phone turned on and off, even then. what happened? is it with my phone memory? it has a 1Gb sandisk memory. the format of the mms pic he sent wa .jpg... how do i solve thsi problem anyway?or is there anything i can do to solve the sudden turning on and off of this phone?
i would like to know if this phone is compatible with a BL-5C battery
To khaled-- Even though 6131 is compatible with .wav files , certain .wav songs cannot be played. Even i faced this problem . And i seriously dont know the reason as to why it happens like this. So , try to play the songs in .mp3 or .aac format , coz those 2 formats works absolutely fine without any problems.
To khaled-- So , if u want to fast forward more than 6 seconds , then do one thing. Log onto www.dotsis.com. And then , select nokia , then select series40 / s40 3rd edition. Under that , there is a player called 'KD PLAYER'. Install that application. Once u install , there is an option in the application , through which you can transfer the songs and videos from phone and memory card. So , once you do that you can play all your songs and videos through the KD PLAYER , and you can fast forward the songs ( but not videos ) for more than 6 seconds easily. And , that application( KD PLAYER ) works absolutely fine for 6131. So , just install and enjoy ! Cheers !
thanks sanju for your help,i knew about that 3rd button to fast forward ,but it forward only 6 seconds,i wanted to know if there's any other program to install to do it faster than that.i wounder why some .wav files is identified by the phone software while other .wav files isnot!
thanks again for your help.
To khaled-- When u record using voice recorder , the default setting is that it will be played back in .amr format only. You cannot change that. It cannot be played in .mp3 format. And , regarding the playback of ram format , thr is no option for playback of ram( rm ) format , since its not a symbian handset. So , u cannot play in ram format. And regarding fast forward in music player , there are three buttons ( rewind/last track , stop and forward/next track ). So , keep pressing the 3rd button for 2 seconds and u can fast forward the tracks. Cheers !
please i need help about that phone;how can i record voice with .mp3 extension ?,how can i play music files with .ram extension? and how can i fast forward the music i am hearing using the integrated music player? or is there any other music player to install and has that advantages?.please i really need to know about all that, thanks for your help.
To kendel-- well , when comparing n73 with 6131 , i think , n73 sounds better in terms of quality , not volume. But , in terms of volume , i think the volume is higher in n73 only for high bitrate audio files ( say 320kbps ). But generally , when i compared both the handsets , 6131 outputs more volume than n73. And , regarding 6233 , i dont know , coz i havent used that handset. Nokia 6131 rocks ! Cheers !
To sanj : thanks so much 4 your reply. I have also heard that n73 and 6233 is very loud too. So what do u think ?
i love my phone but the rubber-like layer on the outside came off easily and the battery life doesn't last very long
this cellphone is awesone I have 10 months wiht it and its great good resolution, good camera. the only thing I didn't like about it it's the material it's a little bad.
To keller-- the space that video consumes depends on the video formats like 3gp or mpeg4 or mp4. So , most ( 99 % ) of the videos we download will be in .3gp format. So , for videos in .3gp format , 1 minute of video takes about 800kb--900kb. And , regarding games , u can install all the games that are compatible with ' s40 3rd edition '. So , u can install .jar games and start playing in ur nokia 6131. Cheers !
