16 million color is much. And 1,3 megapixel is enough for me. Good phone!
i have had this phone since July and i use it for buissness. It is good but the battery life is terrible it dies out fast. i would give it 7/10.Short of memory also
The 16 million color screen sucks all the energy out of the battery. I need two BL-4C batteries.
Can you listen to the radio and music player while your on the internet like the nokia 6230?
Great phone, 1.3 megapixel camera is good, don't have to be 2 megapixel. When the photos a printed it would look like a picture taken from a 5 megapixel camera.
this phone is easily scratched, and the black skin peels off. if you're using crystal cover, ur not protecting it but instead, causing more scratches and peeling of the phone. nokia shouldn't have made such a vulnerable phone. features are great though the battery doesn't last too long.
I just got this phone from saberpoint on ebay and it works like a charm. No firmware issues, no problems with restarting or white screens.
I have firmware version 5.50, which is, from what I've gathered reading these posts, the latest version.
Great phone! I have no complaints about it whatsoever.
I posted a video review of my 6131 on Youtube. Here http://youtube.com/watch?v=0R5R3SflKz4
I bought it here in Argentina for 150U$S. I came with a microSD 128mb.
How long can this phone record a video? Is the video recording quality good in sound together with motion and color. Does all the pictures load up in html browsing?
I purchased 2 of these phones last week. The features, looks are great i can't ask for more. Perhaps the memory is limiting but I’m planning on getting a microSD card to expand it to 1GB because 11MB is a bit tiny with a few pics, themes etc.
The 1.3MP camera is fine, just for those situations when you don't have a real camera because it requires good lighting for optimum results.
Now for the problems: intermediately (say every 3-4days?) the phones mini screen would go white the only way to reset this is to turn it off/on. Anyway, this left me felt like i had a faulty product so i took it to the nokia service care centre and they promptly replaced the mini screen.
On the second handset there’s just one problem thats being noticed. The phone crashes and you can only see the background, "Go To" on the left side the mini screen works fine. The only way to get rid of this is to switch of the phone. If it becomes more common I might have to take that to the care centre too.
Overall i would give it a 9/10 (bare the initial problems)
i got mine of the nokia website cause i could not find anywhere to buy on the market. i found the sound when ringing was tiney, the usual nokia problems of white screen & freezing from time to time, battery only last 24-48 hrs & i don't listen to music at all, i was not happy with my 6131 so i sold it after 3 weeks & brought the sony ericsson z610i flip phone, great phone with good battery, loud ringing volume & much more with 2 m camera, photo dj so you can remove red eye & adjust your pics to lighter or darker etc. i know this is only my opion but i do buy alot of mobiles!
hey anybody tell me why Nokia is not releasing more 6131s in the market? is there any problem with this phone? i really wanna buy this one...
To mwai. Go to your settings\time& date\clock\clock type and hide the clock. The time is not shown on the mine display.
Gr8 Phone. But could someone tell me if i'm alone? I'm not able to transfer info to or from any motorola via bluetooth.
Can anyone tell me how to access the messages saved on your SIM? It's weird that I don't get to view my old messages. I see my messages are still in my SIM card but I can't see them from the phone's inbox folder? I already asked my SIM vendor and they said it's with the phone settings. When I asked the Nokia's customer service, they it's because 6131 is on Nokia OS and not Symbian OS.. Is that true? Any clues? Thanks!
