from poeple having problem pressing the camera button , just lock ur keypad while putting it in ur pocket...
The vibrating alert is quite weak and lasts only for about 0,1 sec when you get a message, so it's really hard to notice that.
Also the side buttons are in difficult positions - they are on oppisite sides, so when you press one, you simultaneously press another on the other side. The camera button is too easy to press accidentally and can't be disabled.
And as you already know, the battery is quite weak.
Apart from these flaws, the phone is very great. User interface works like my mind, the keypad is superb and the displays are luxury. Also the opening mechanism is very handy and seems to be durable enough.
pls. help! is Nokia 6131 better than Nokia 6233? im leaning towards 6131 but 6233 is quite amazing as well.
i've used it for a month now......and i think it rocks! the display is super...very user friendly...and the mp3 player is alright too....camera is a minus though...but i dont think u shud hesitate in buying this mobile....
How would you compare this phone with W700i???
How good is its music player and FM player? Are they Stereo? How is the quality compared to W700i, or if not compared how is its music thing overall? Is it good?
An incredible phone. The keypad is the best I've ever used on a phone and the screen is just remarkable. The only two issues I can find among the plethora of incredible plusses is 1) I often accidentally hit the camera button when the phone is closed 2) Can't set 'call log' as one of the short cuts (a software issue). Otherwise, a fantastic phone.
i will buy this phon on aug 5.. so if you hav questions about this phone don't hsitate to ask ok? here in the philippines its Php 12,800 not bad for do-it-all phone... regards to all... =)
I was a 6230i user before this and was looking at 6131 as the successor. But I had to change my plan as I'm just not hooked on the design. So, I've got myself a 6125, which sports a very inferior display (128x160only), not just to 6131's brilliant display, even to 6230i's 208x208. So, my hope on running my thoughts and findings over this thread will not be realized. I'll be in the 6125's thread. Anyway, while researching for this phone a while ago, an article written at mobile-review.com exposes something that every 6131 owners should know about its brilliant QVGA display. It's good to know so that you can better protect the display against any problems.
Yea, i love this phone. I have owned it for half a year. Its stylish & chick. But can you imagine here in Uganda (East Africa) the phone doesn't come with the SD memory card & the Cable? Moreover it's expensive & supplied by our main NOKIA Distributor Simba Telecom?? Its a pity!! All efforts to have these things have proved futile. I guess next time i will have to buy online. What do you think??
And the Battery oh Gosh!!!! It runs out so fast. Wonder why.....
Please NOKIA, let me know of the latest production. Nokia has always been my love, so keep me there, & posted. Cheers
dont they include the mini sd card ? mine (in India) came without it !
It is a good phone, however the outbox msg icons are not displayed correctly.
The looks r good but the metallic part of it sometimes gives current. never shall be used with charger attached. even while vibrating sometimes the metallic body carries current.
I hope its out of danger as sometimes even kids use it.However the display is good. but camera is not that very appreciable. the only thing better is that it supports more music formats. i wanna chg it soon. well if someone cud suggest me a better option with the light weight and good audio and camera features with all forms of MSging supported.
Waiting for the reply....
this is really cool! almost a month now i owned this.....the features are great....stylish....and cute
for me this is the best!
The problem is the battery, hope they can do something about it. Also, the camera, if only they can put a 2mp like the 6233, then this model would be perfect for mass users since the price is reasonable.
hey is there anyway for me to change the menu backgroup image from the blue circles without changing the theme?
I have had the nokia 6131 for a week now and i must say its an awesome phone,as for the display just buy yourself a screen protector but i see no problem with it all.I would recommend this model to everyone its just so cool.
i sent an opion earlier and went off at optus well id like to apologize for any misconception that ive caused after having my little b.f i got over it and activated my nokia 6131 the day after and its been a terific phone. i recommend this phone to anyone. optus is actually a good servive.
