The pack does not really come with extra memory card and a USB cable just the earphones.
Yes, you will need the Nokia PC Suite to transfer files from / to your pc and phone. It asks you which connection you'd be using -bluetooth, infrared or cable.
The phone memory is protected when I try to copy my phone contact from my sim card to the phone...anybody can help to unprotect the phone memory?
Thanks & Best Regards
Hi i just bougt this phone today, but the only thing that is included is a Charger and some earphones, i did not even get memory nor a data cable to transfer files. And do u really need the Pc Suite software to send files if u send files via bluetooth(usb)or to the memory card.
Hi folks. Reading some of the comments on here, i thought i would post my own review. I have had this handset for only 3 weeks now but i feel its long enough. First off this phone is fantastic. I have no issues with it what so ever. Battery life is fine for me. I truly believe if you prepare the battery properly at the start and are not a really heavy user like me, it will suit you fine. I mainly text with the odd call, and some bluetooth here and there and i have no problems getting 3 days out of it. I really like the main screen, so crisp and clear. Texting is a breeze and overall the series 40 v3 UI is really nice although i would have liked to see some better themes. Memory is a bit small, but since i installed a 512 meg micro sd card, it's not a problem at all. The sound is loud and clear. I have no issues hearing during calls and thats with the volume on 4/5. Loudspeaker quality is great too! The only minor gripe is the message tone goes off when ever i send a message or get a balance report. How do i turn that off folks>?
Overall this 6131 is highly recommended by me ;o)
Any questions, fire away.
does the nokia bl-6c battery fit on this phone?
if it doesn't are there ways of getting an extended battery?
the only problem with this phone is the camera and the battery life. firstly the battery life is too short and the camer is ok during the bright day, but, during poor lighting conditions the camera picture quality is very poor.
Just got the phone last night. So far so good, except for the simple fact the the voice commands and dialing are very disappointing. Anyone have any suggestions to personalize these?
When I sum all the memory in the "memory status" in the gallery, it's less than 11M (around 8M). Anyone knows why?
I managed to get a 1gb Micro SD for £23 on Ebay that's with delivery!
Please can anybody help me in getting applications for my mobile 6131 by the way its a piece of art optimzed in evrything except for the battery capacity
hi frns, everything is quite ok with this fon but the cons are
without flash, not a very good design looks normal like 6101 just without external anttena, rest is ok to use.
Just brought 6131 two days ago it is so useful and i got no problem witn it at all.
You can adjust the "Font Size" bigger as you like: go to the settings and look for the "Main Display" you will see the Font....it is also very easy to use and light.
well i have stored about 550 contacts in my phone book and it says its 45% used with 55% free. So I would guess about 1000. I dont use address features in the phone book - just numbers, email addresses and sometimes job titles.
Taking my 5th model back tomorrow because its so quiet. If i am walking down the street i struggle to hear anything on it (during calls). Also its been switching itself off, and a message in sent items won't delete and brings up errors when i try to delete it. I would put up with it if the sound was loud enough. But if i walk along the street i cant hear the person on the other end hardly at all!
am very happy with the phone. i can use the music player to listen Qur'an recitation while reading the Arabic text using another application. I have no regrets giving my Samsung d500 as a hand-me-down to my daughter.
I also find Nokia 6131's sound louder and clearer than the D500's. It's just that if one is using the right hand, the bottom part of the palm sort of blocks the speakers - just a minor hitch, of course.
can anyone tell me where thier 6131 is made in? cause the ones sell in australia are made in china. im asking this because i've seen on the net where the phone is made in hungary?
made in china? is that the real phone?
I have bought the nokia 6131 yesterday, however I have a small request to ask to anyone. Actually I have a problem with french dictionary. Usually a message consist of 160 caracters. However in this one, if any french message contains accents like ç, even 1 of these caracters only, the maximum letters for 1 message becomes 80, after this it is sent in 2 parts which becomes quite credit consuming. I have never face this problem with any previous nokia or other phones no matter how many accents i put.Anyone, Can you verify this and inform me please. Thank you...
