i have this phone for 3 months and i have a problem with it...when i open it i want to answer calls immediately but it delays about 2 seconds....how can i do it ? please someone tell me

I agree with some of Nokia 6170 owners. This is a nice phone. But the memory is too less and unchangeable. So i think in future I will change my phone with Nokia 9300

The hinge is plastic and when it breaks (as it will) the phone becomes very unstable and inoperable. Mine only lasted 9 months!

i bought my 6170 off my cousin a couple months ago, and i have to say im very pleased.. mp3 ring tones, clear pictures, and most important, it looks sexy.
the only drawback is the memory, and its bluetooth other then.. SEXY

Nokia 6170 is an elegant and nice stainless steel phone but this doesn't help.
Comparable to my Nokia 8910 i found 6170 be more heavier and lose in most of aspects(signal reception,voice clarity,etc), although 8910 has less features than 6170. In my opinion i believe that the best phone ever created by Nokia is Nokia 8910 in terms of design and performance.

i just purchased mine...it is too expensive for the features it has..indeed it is a nice phone, very tempting exterior, but unles you buy it with a discount it is not really worth the money. It takes nice pictures but the memory is insufficent and it does not have a memory card so you have to download all the time your pictures/videos/etc. Another minus it does not have bluetooth. But at least it has infrared. You can download ring tones/pictures/send multimedia messages. Overall the phone is ok if you can get it for a cheap price.

Dear nokia 6170 owners
I don't know if i should buy this phone or not. I'm worried about the memory - only 2.2 mb :(. Does the mp3 work? cause i read some opinions and they said that it doesn't.How many minutes can a video have? and how many pictures can you store? please tell me :) Thanks

ive been trying to upload my pics bak onto the phone and it doesnt seem possible. so far i only been able 2 download. who can i upload back???

My Nokia 6170 just recently purchased is not performing well. Its like the antenna is not working properly, signal is not always available, even in very strong reception area. Once you start making a call, the signal bar will fall from strong to zero.

I looove this phone! I like it's desing... I also named it..."Silverster"...althought the memory makes me feel like crap...

The delay with the active flip was done on purpose, so that you can still reject a call after opening the phone by simply pushing the red button. Might sometimes come in handy when you're in a silent area and you get a call. Most of the times it is a bit irritating though.
