I forgot me security code of Nokia 6230. How can i reset it. Pleas help
My firware 04.28 24-06-04 RH12 GSM p1.1 (c) NMP
e398 does not have video record, plus the moto address book is so stupid and the OS is slow, 6230 still wins!
francesco the nokia 6230 might hav more features but it is so much more expensive and what the fuk do u no u hav only had the e398 i hav had both and i fukin hated the nokia so i sold it and bought the e398
I've had e398 ( which i was going for ) and 6230 them side by side and compared .The nokia betters the e398 in quite everything .
THe most important thing is that the software it's faster ( much faster ) , video on nokia is by default without loosing the card mem capability , fm radio only on the nokia ... builkd quality is 200% better on 6230
My opinion is they are 2 different class phones , If i had the money i would definitely go for the nokmia 6230
motorola e398 is better think about it same coulers in the screen but e398 is bigger, both have mp3, both hav vga cam but e398 has a flash, both hav expandable memory and the e398 is $200 less and it is better
From the North American Market, The only pitfall for this phone is weak reception through various providers. However, the phone consistently displays better reception than phones of comperable service, and the added features are a welcome plus over lesser Nokia and motorola models. Overall I paid less than did a mate with a Moto V551, and got more than he did. Excellent phone, great features, semi-solid construction. Rock on Nokia. Cheers!
is the mp3 / radio reproductionb STEREO or it is MONO ?
Thanks for anyone answering .
ummm just one thing, i set a darkish wallpaper on my phone, but now when a call comes i can't see the number!! any way to fix this?
Excellent phone nevertheless. Extremely responsive, which is great. I hate sluggish phones.
Hi. I'm new to this phone and would like to know:
- how do I find out what rev firmware I have?
- is there a way to make the date and time display on the main screen?
Brilliant phone but...
My first one went back due to poor signal strength and the battery only lasted 2 days.
My second one went back due to poor signal strength and the battery only lasted 1.5 days. AND... sometimes it wouldn't register the sim card when turned on. Sometimes it wouldn't turn on at all and other it would just put a line across the screen. The buttons occasionally made hi-pitch screetching sounds instead of the little bleep when pressed. The main nav key would never go right so to get right on the menus, you had to move left until the menu came around on itself. Sometimes it would turn itself off
... so i sent it back and now i have a Nokia 7610 which i love but is really over-complicated for my needs!
is there anyway to creat passwords on any Folder in 6230
many thanks in advance
I really found it coooooooooooooooooooool
but need to improve camera result
To Loreto.. that was some great information! Mine is 4.28... still can't get my Apacer 256Mb MMC to work.. but the 128Mb works fine. Hopefully 4.43 will get it working. Thanks again!
i have never used cell phone like this one
the best ever from Nokia
i really really love it
To Loreto and Sola,
Many thanks, that is what i need to finaly choose 6230. Did you consider its OS which is not Symbian?
I am amazed at the amount postings in this forum saying "I love Nokia" or Nokia rulz" so what ... stiff shit ... who really cares. This does not describe the benefits or issues of a particular phone. Sounds like you are payed 2 cents from Nokia to post a pro Nokia comment. ie: I like beer - does anyone care - probably not - relevance - none ... get it!
to 6230 boy,
I was referin to the firmware versions 4.28 & 4.43..the earlier versions ie 3.14,3.15,3.17 all had very bad Camera quality when compared to the newer ones..but there are a few niggles with the newer versions..now it as takin longer time for the mobile to save the clicked photos & the video quality has deteriorated...But the improvements are worth the try...
Better still photos,Better Music quality,Better wallpaper quality,Better Anti-aliasing[ the rough edges of pictures seemed to be smoother]..

Nokia's story of success. The phone that revolutionized the industry. The 6230 is a benchmark. Although there are a good number of multi-talented phones, like the exquisite Sony Eriksson K700i) that rivals and even surpasses the excellent qualities of the 6230, however the Nokia remains the yardstick and the one to beat in this class. If you desire a classy cell phone that functions with a touch of innovation and distinction, the 6230 is for you. Its image and originality will suit your desire.
