if you go through Nokia site, "i" is actually means international and "a" means asian version
Oh yes!!!I'm sorry for misleading u. YEah, The only way to disable the time is to disable the screensaver and disable the clock(I think- These are all trial n error). How do i know these kind of stuff is that i keep changing sim cards and when i change it, it(the phone) ask me to set the time which i didn't. So, the time didn't appear and the screen saver as well. When the phone is on 'standby mode', the wallpaper just remains there even without the screen saver.
If u want to restore factory settings, i would rather say it is at your own risk. If u ask me, I've tried that before and all my downloded files that are stored in my gallaries still remains. However, that doesn't mean that ur phone is same as mine. The reason is that, my is from the Asia Pacific continent while yours could probably frm other continents like in the EU, US etc...it depends where u buy. You know...if u go to the nokia.com website and came across the phrase - The availability of particular products may vary by region...instead of the word 'product' it could mean to your function as well. Just to let u know as a precaution :). I'm sorry that i can't really clarify your soubts. All these are base on my experience. That's all.
this is the only mobile phone that ive been stick of for almost a months...and i dont get bored with this gadget...it connects me to everyone and most especiali i can personalize everything.. in short all in one..its so cozy..i really like 6230

dear friedbrains, what do you think?
Tried opening the Media Converter but unforatunately it says i am not authorised even though i've already registered.
i will try that site.
U are always answering ppl's questions, do you any questions urself?
Have disabled the little clock that appears in the top right hand corner of the nokia 6230 but the screen still goes total blank with just a large time display. If i have a screen saver active it just goes over the top and the savers not visable so its useless having a screen saver turned on. bit worried about using factory restore as i dont know what info i will lose and what setting will be affected, will i keep my downloaded ringtones etc. ???????????????????????
6230 is a comparative with 3100.I like the phone too much.i have bought it.If you can try to send one to me aswell. Thanks so much.Nokia covers the world.
i'have one nokia 6230 is good but not have the apllication for simbyan, and pixels is little for vga (124x96 resolusion is not good) i' like the nokia 7610 that is good but the setting's for edit image is not very mutch.. tank's
The only way to remove the digital clock is not to set ur time at ur settings. That is to say when u go to the settings portion, disable the clock function. That is the only way to remove or else it will be there 4ever. Perhaps u can go to ur 'restore factory settings' and all ur settings will be defaulted.
that digital clock is normal on 6230, ther is no way to remove it
HS-4W can be used as a mic and HS for PC with BT that has widcomm drivers, if your PC is using SP2 BT drivers it wont work since XP SP2 does not support HS profile
