To All 6230 owners...check the firmware version on ur mobile...if it is not version 4.43 upgrade it to that at ur nearest Nokia outlet...belive me u will find a great deal of improvement in the Camera quality & contrast level of the dislpay...to check ur version type *#0000#

I haven't really played with SE K700i so I could not compare it with N6230. But i would say that im very happy with my N6230, very neat gadget indeed considering the minimalist look but powerful features. I've had phones before with which you could put in loads of softwares but I found most of them not useful. With N6230, you've got all you need with mp3, voice recorder, unlimited video recorder, still camera, FM radio, expandable memory, all types of connectivity (Bluetooth,IR,USB) not to mention a relatively fast software. SOund quality is suprisingly good and photo quality is very decent as well. And oh... not everyone would appreciate it but I loved the mobile karaoke which is pre-installed in it. Unless you're a game freak or megapixel mania...you'll surely love this fone. It's value for your money.

This thing is a real SHIT. Don't ever even think of buying it! We are back in the 80's: short battery life, lots of echo in the receiver, bluetooth working as an ancient DOS device... forget it!

Just got my Firmware upgraded from v3.17 to v4.43...there is some improvement as far as AntiAliasing is concerned in the images...I have heard some of u guys mention that the phone memory decreased from 8mb to 4mb in the Firmware v4.28, well i think this has been taken care of in v4.43, because i have 8mb on my mobile...

hey guys i found out that .jar files doesn't work in any mobile phones in order to get it working u gotta' change it to .jad then only you'll be able to install them and play it..so all u need to do is get the jadgen converter..which the link is posted somewhere in here and generate it to the .jad file..if u hav any question just about this matter post it here..

everybody has a different taste and different needs for a phone but for me, i can say that this phone is a great invesment! its great! 6600 is bulky and it is always commented that its like bringing a 'soap' in the pocket.. but it has a large screen but lacks the mp3 and radio unlike the 6230! but i do love the large screen of 6600...

if u can pair the two devices, i mean there is a pair device option on the mobile which can help u send the data immediately via bluetooth to the other mobile or compatible device..Good Luck!

yeh i hav always hav a nokia fone all of my all i am 16 now and they are da only fones i can hold and that is nokia and i hav had every nokia fone you can name but not da 6230 i want 1 of them if u can send me 1 plz if u can not dont worry about it but nokia fone are the best thats all i can say 4 get about all of the other fones :)sorri about da other msg but if u can send me 1 call me on my mobile on 0401549420 thank you

is it that each time i want to send something out thru bluetooth it need to research for the receiver phone even i just send 1st pic and want to continue send the 2nd pic to the same phone? Can some 1 help me. Thanks

The Nokia 6230 is a great phone, "BUT" is anyone else having trouble in reading the 4,5,6 keys in certin light due to the lack of lighting under the key pad? I have the silver case version..

personally i found 6230 excellent. ok the camera quaLITY may not be the best, but if u're buying a cell for the cam, ur making a mistake. having said that..... it translates pretty well when put on the pc. mp3 ain't too bad. but the biggest advantage over models like se k700 is th memory capability, and really thT OVERrules any other disadvantages!

Ok the 6600 is a smartphone but is brilliant there is no mp3 but you can download, there is a new 6620 is out its better i would get that. I'm using my 6230 its working fine! The 6600 is better check the features and see what fancies you. Everyone is different. the realone player is cool the optical zoom is sweet.the 6230 and 6600 are the featured phones of nokia.Go to this site if u need help deciding http://www.nokia.com/phones/comparephones/compare_results.jsp?location=EMEA&language=EN&pageaction=COMP&phone=6230&phone=6600. if money is no option get the 6620 its brilliant my gran has it it is brilliant but nokia are so slow they leak there phones out when everybody else knows. In my opinion get the 6230 or the 6620 but my phone has more than the 6600 it has EDGE GPRS xHTML browser. My screen is so small i would rather get the 6620 but if you like the size and everything of the 6230 get it you will be surprised how good it is.pop port is useful and handy and u can add the Memory Card DTS-64, Memory Unit DTS-128 nokia talk shit. I upgraded my memory to 1gb and works perfectly. Don't use SD cards use MMC cards. Good luck in deciding.
