to muller,
put the AAC songs on the root of the MMC, meaning do not put it in any folder, but on the root directory of the MMC...
to andy,
datacable works very well, u have to use DKU-2 not DKU-5 or avoid 3rd party cables since it is known to be problematic... learn what u r selling 1st...
shaun
If i´m not mistaken try out Nero. You can edit your wav. and save it as mp3.

I transfer mine with a Bluetooth dongle.
this phone is one of the most overrated phones. The nokia datacable do not allow data transfer. the only way to transfer is to get the mmc card out and put it into a card reader. I have my own business and i hate selling nokia's always come back broken :(
Hi.

Hi! guys
According to me at present N-6230 is the most reliable, futuristic, full featured pack, good looking phone the market.
I bought this phone few days ago. I saw so many models like Moto,Sharp,Seimens,Samsung. But i found something is missing in all those phones.
In one phone no bluetooth, in another no IR port ,like these features.
Finnaly i found Nokia 6230 got all features we want Bluetooth,IR,MMS,Gprs,MP3,640*400 Camera,65K resolution.
Many times i heard that Bluetooth not working or any other problem regarding PC suite, but i never found any problem.
Last words: Check all the settings, check all the requirments n you can avail all features for N6230. No doubt 6230 is the best phone inthe arket at present.
PLEASE HELP! IM AT MY WITS END! im trying totransfer AAC format music files from the nokia audio manager to the phone.but in the pc suite the duartion of any track is only 2sec n size is 14kb, so when i transfer to phone only 2sec of the songs are played! but in cd player the duartion and size of each track is much more.please help im going mad!
Moleman,
Can't give u details here, check the web for converters. U can transfer them using a cable, bluetooth, IR, or cardreader. Tho if the file format is in DIVX, which is so for downloaded episodes of Simpsons, the voice and video may not synchronise after conversion with the bundled software. I'm still looking for a solution to that tho.
which is better, n6230, se k700 or moto v80?
+ Classics. It has all extras that one would desire.
- The camera has only 640x480 pixels, which is a minus. If a program as Photoacute(Nokia 6600 has it)could be installed, it would be great.
- The letters are only black and not well legible if the wallpaper is in darker colours/tones.
Aquarius..That Amazing!!! :)
Guys, before I bought my n6230 I've heard so much about the bugs that everyone is talking about that it worried me. But I couldn't resist so decided to buy 1 anyway. So now I've had my n6230 for 2 months now and haven't encountered any bugs at all. Everything works perfectly - the video, pictures, sound, mp3, loudspeaker, voice recorder, etc. My only complaint is that browsing the web is slow and receiving mms messages is not as quick as receiving text messages but hey, this is early days yet for gprs technology.
Well, 2 weeks ago I accidentally dropped my phone into a cup of coffee! Imagine my horror! The phone didn't respond when I tried to shut it down and I haven't mastered removing the back cover yet to remove the battery. So I went to a phone shop to have it removed 10 minutes later. I was advised there that once water gets into the phone it won't work (what about coffee??!!). A colleague of mine who's worked in mobile service centres suggested that I take the covers apart and wash the phone thoroughly in a bowl of water (minus the batt, mmc and sim cards) and shake it to remove coffee particles. He suggested I should let it dry out in the sun or if the sun is not out, in the oven! (heat the oven 200 deg, let it cool down and then stick the phone inside to let the water evaporate) and leave it to dry for a few days. I was desperate so I followed his advise to the letter, drying my phone 10 minutes every day for 2 days in the oven (there was no sun that weekend)! In the meantime, I've asked other mobile phone shops advise and they said they'll have to take the phone apart and dry each part separately and even maybe re-solder the parts and yet there's no guarantee the phone will work. That weekend, I was seriously feeling sad and thinking of buying another phone like an seT630 but asking shop owners' advise with the comparison between T630 and 6230, 6230 still comes up tops in terms of feature and everything! So I was contemplating of buying a new 6230 and spending all that money again if my phone doesn't work...
Sunday evening came and I worriedly switched my n6230 on and voila! It worked! I was so surprised and happy! And until now, no problems. Everything worked perfectly as if nothing ever happened to it. Who knows, it might not work in 1 year's time but what the heck, I'll probably upgrade my phone by then :o) By the way, my phone is v3.15 and made in Asia. I was worried that if I took my phone to the shops to have it fixed (instead of following my colleague's advise) they might replace the parts with crappy ones :O ! So for now, I'm a very happy n6230 user and I wouldn't trade it for any other phone in the market unless they come out with better ones! My colleagues just listened to my mp3s played via the loudspeaker 2 days ago and they were impressed! So I don't know whether it's luck to get a phone that's bug-free or not...
delete some sms messages quickly phone restarts it self for some reason...
