It's been 4 months now and Nokia does not seem to want to release the black cover and keypad for the rest of the world (European models comes with that cover). I'm tired of buying covers only to find that the salesperson has once again tricked me and the cover is actually a fake(the dimensions are slighty different and can be felt when installing the cover). The last cover I got seems to be exactly the same, with the Nokia lettering made with another material instead of the plastic painted with silver paint versions. However, now that I'm home and under bright light, it seems that the cover is not black, but dark blue. But the top part of the cover is black, which is definitely not the other dark blue cover from Nokia. I want to know if anyone actually owns the original out of the box black 6230 and can tell me whether the whole casing should be black or in shades of black and dark blue. Thanks!
PS: another bug found, listen to MP3, get a call, the mp3 pauses automatically. After you hang up, press hang up again (which is supposed to exit the mp3 player) and the phone restarts itself again.
i have the 6230 for more than 4 monnths now, and it aint buggy, the caller group bug was the only issue i had and was immediately solved by doing the restore factory settings...the K700 now has setup their OTA FW upgrade, just more than 1 month and people need to upgarde their K700, which has more bugs now??? K700 also has a slow OS, plus lower RF capability compared to the 6230- RF dept is always has been Nokia's domain..
the nokia is buggy and has a small screen. while the k700i has everything u want, except for the expansion slot. so it depends on wat ur gonna use the phone for.
choose Nokia if ur gonna use it has a phone/mp3player
choose k700i if u want a few songs on the phone(like up to 10 song)
I'm also doubting which phone i should buy, the k700 or the 6230. I do like the sharper en bigger screen of the k700 but the extra memmory from the 6230 lets me rethink the situation...
Does anyone have a suitable argument which lets me make my decision?
Man this fone rocks but its pretty expensive in pakistan right now over Rs 26000/ and man thats one hell of a price for a cellfone but overall thats one fone that nokia has'nt compromise on 6230 ROCKS !!!!! Bravo NOKIA !!!!
The 6230 is better then the k700. the only thing that the k700i has on the 6230 is the zoom funktion and the screen looks nice that is it. but the cammera suck anyway and you can't upgrade your memory so I'll go fot the nokia any time..... but a few thing abould the nokia i have v03.15 s/w and some times when i watch a lot of 3gp files it restarts ( not a big problem) probebly the new s/w will fix that. And if you have a mac and tray to transfer data bigger then 1mb it won't go?? but with a windows system no problems???? if you know any thing mail me... Thanx
i'm stuck between buying nokia 6230 or sony ericsson k700i? can anyone give me advices on which model is worthy? thx..
y bother w/ wav tones when 6230 can do mp3 as ringtone.... MP3 tones simply rules...
i'll try using that option. do you know if n6230 supports OGG files? they say it's half the size of mp3.
use the Nokia Audio Manager in the Nokia PC Suite to convert ur cd tracks to AAC...
i got v. 3.14 and i have been using it for more than 4 mon. and i have no problem
How can I convert Audio files form normal track files into mp3? Can some on please help?
correct guys. so using all the features like mp3's, video, radio will probably make us charge on a DAILY basis. My panasonic gd88 used to last 2.5 days with photo's and colored wallpaper and lots of SMS. other review claimits the buggy software. v3.14 and 3.15 are awful. unfortunately, i ended up with a v3.15 before i read other reviews. shoul avoid those versions guys. press *#0000# to check version. hope this helps.
hi! does anyone knows how to create AAC files, any software for windows will help. tnx
