You may find that they may be writing their MB numbers wrong on the packaging (Eg 1000 KB instead of 1024 KB)
yes ur ryt,,,,it's normal!...u may reformat ur MMC but it still isn't going to become a perfect 32MB ...(e.g. my 128MB MMC is only 122MB in actual use......
Infrared, Cable and Bluetooth.
Also can you send data MP3's from 1 phone directly to another via Bluetooth or Infrared.
Hi. I just bought a nokia 6230 its an amazing phone with everything I needed. But there is one problem, the MMC I got with the fone is 32mb, but in the phone's memory when I check, it shows 30.3mb. Is that alright? Thanks
to nit: it depends on how u transfer ur data. by bluetooth, cable or infrared
to friedbrains: are u sure its not laggy? alot of pple say tht 512 is damn lag.. and how much does it(atp 512mmc) cost in US$ OR Singapore$?

no estimates please just someone who has the phone.

dOes ATP 256 MMC works too? Speedwise, is it good? does it lags? any problems with it?
get ATP 512MB MMC cards, they are one of the fastest and works great with the 6230 no lag time. BTW, the processor of the 6230 is very fast, check out this link for compatible MMC cards:
this fone is geart it rocks ahs got vidoe and deos everything you needd it is proper bi i tell thee!!!
Do you own this phone? I have it in my hand. So I can tell you the difference about the time it needs to take to read the card.
Why I said that? When you insert a card and switch on the phone, then go to your MMC storage, it initally scan all the files available in the MMC Card. if you have a larger size of MMC card, it surely takes longer time to read. Afterall, it plays all the files (i.e. mp3) normally with no problem.
The phone does support 512 mb cards and I have not heard of any speed problems. Check the card first.
CTI in NYC has the best selection of GSM phones. Check them out!!! Best prices too.

It may not be a good idea to equip this phone with a large memory size of MMC card because the processor of this phone is slow.
it is not officially supported to use 512MB howvever the phone can read the card at a very slow speed.
