it is not officially supported to use 512MB howvever the phone can read the card at a very slow speed.
MOTO E398 is a good replacement for this phone. It has better screen and removable memory. 3D sound to boot! I will go for Moto E398.
ur welcome current 6230 user, yeah ur ryt SE P900 doesn't have FM....my bro owns 1....very impressive though, anywyz jst hav 2 stick wth N6230, & hopefully wait for a new model/version w/c s featuristic but small & has good quality....
Thanks LG, I heard that SE P900 only support up to 128MB Memory Stick Duo and with no buit-in FM Radio. These are mostly the factors whether I should go for P900.
I am currently have a 256MB MMC in my N6230, however the phone is slow for this size of memory card. The FM Radio is good anyway.
To current 6230 user:
SE P900 is good esp. the quality! it's a smart phone anyway....yet considering the size, it's too big!!!!......
Great phone!!! Amazing features and menu speed.. This phone is my my best buy since i've bought 7 phones till today.
I am considering to trade-in my N6230 to buy SE P900.
Can someone give me advice? Thanks
If you desire a phone now, just get the N6230, if not, wait for S700.
6230 is just a normal phone, don't expect too much on it.
I was wondering what is the price of this phone in Germany? or in France?
How r the mp3 and radio functions? Do u get a good sound response?
I only tried the edge video streaming and it worked great.
This may be one of the best Nokia's ever, but it still is a pretty crappy phone. The features may be good, but I'd rather have a little less features, but better quality! Oh well, I get both quality and features with the K700! Phone-brands don't matter to me, all I want is THE BEST phone I can get for my money. I don't want bugs, crappy photo/video quality and crappy buildquality. I just don't have the money to buy a new phone every 6 months, sorry!
Come on guys, give urself a name, it'll be easier to reply your questions!
First of all. the track list MUST be created from the computer, it can't be edited in the phone too...
The firmware is upgradeable by downloading the bin file and then flashing your phone with a program and with a special cable. I'm afraid that will VOID ur warranty so i suggest you let Nokia do the job.
To Dissapointed User:
I'm sorry I can't answer you on MMS, but I seem to be able to attach other files to the MMS, but since I dun have the MMS service, I dunno if i can sent it. The black cover and keypad is a SPECIAL EDITION one and will be released in a month or two. It would be sold together (keypad and cover) as an accessory. So do wait for awhile.
Can anyone help me on this-I cannot send mms out from the phone, always Shown File Format Not Supported(ALL pictures or transfered or received from another phone and already stored in the phone) but can send mms with pictures taken from the 6230 phone itself.
When to Nokia Service Centre, they upgraded the software but still have the same problem and also they shown me another 6230 also have the same problem (meaning it's normal).
I called up directly to the Nokia Hotline and explained to them the problem and they said will checked but so far no reply yet. I transfered 30 photos from my old Nokia 6600 via bluetooth to my new 6230 and now all the photos cannot mms out.
If this handicap problem cannot be se solved, I will definitely change to another phone because even my another lower end Nokia 3200 can do the simple job.
Another disappointment, tried to find the black Covers but so far no black covers in the market yet and even so it does not comes with the black keypad except the covers. Look like I had to give up the ideas to change the black covers because using back the keypad might as well don't change and somemore the covers so expensive.
Initially was happy with the phone but now feels the phone have let me down. I paid S$800 for the phone when it launched.
I have problem using the track list function to play mp3.
1) How should I create a track list? Must I use Nokia's PC suite?
2) Can I edit the track list in the phone? (i.e. add/remove music files in the track list), if not, must I use the PC Suite to edit the track list?
