However, I am still complaining about the battery life. If Nokia did not say the standby time can last for 300 hours, I wouldn't complain so much.
So in real life, I wish all those 6230 owner to tell us how long does your phone last after a fully re-charged.
Mine last for 2.5 days the most.

I suggest this 6230 user opinions for all the nokia 6230 users to share the phone experiences, problem solving, exchanging updated informations, etc...
Those who are not sincere to share with us on the nokia 6230, it is better not to write here-wasting your and our time and also deprive others sincere 6230 owners to offer their opinions.
Please understand that nothing is perfect in this world including human pefection. Don't waste time critise the phone here.

THis phone in malaysia the price is same like Nokia 6600,about usd460.00 or in Ringgit malaysia is RM1750

I don't really understand your question about the chinese thing... anyway, I don't read chinese. 6230 has a english->chinese translator though.
As for installing mp3 player into 6600, go to kazaa and look for a application called Nokia 6600 Ultramp3. Bluetooth this over to your phone. :)

hi.. i've thought for a long time of wad fone to buy. i've considered 6230, 6600, and xphone. (6600 and xphone because of the good/compatible os) but i heard that the 3rd party softwares in 6600 may hang the fone. can someone gimme advice to which is better??? and list the bugs and solutions to them(if there are solutions).. thanks alot !

6600 cant read chinese and english at one time...u have to switch to either one to read what u want. how do u install da mp3 player?? are u using 6230? how is it?

hey, u r a great help!! thks...btw, i did encountered problems like unable to delete wallpaper after setting it & unable to adjust keypad tones. need to re-set hp in order to get the above done. mine does have echo problem as well. will a software upgrade helps?

Yeah *LOL* At fisrt I thought that too. Just go to Media->Camera->Settings->Video Clip Length and set to Maximum. :)

6230 video can record up to 4mins? mine can only record up to mayb 12-15seconds...

You know, forumers, I think Klaas is mentally disturbed. Seriously. I'm not saying that to diss him/her. I mean, from what I can gather from all his/her posts, he doesn't sound logical and even a bit insane.
Klaas, if you are very sore because "I beat you" and "you lost", and are trying to get back at me, by calling me names, then I'm afraid you're not succeeding in making me afraid.
In fact, I'm offended that you should make such unfounded accusations and unrequired language around here, that, if you do it to me one more time or to other innocent forumers who are only reprimanding of your childish and unreasonable behaviour, I will not hesitate to complain about you to the webmaster here.

Just please stop bothering those people insulting SE phones because it is a Nokia forum. You should understand this very well. Likewise, you also should stop saying bad things about Nokia phone, again it is a Nokia forum.
If you really want to say how bad is the Nokia phone, say the facts and explain it. Don't just say you don't have to proof. Because those guys said bad things about SE phones will not understand if you don't explain.
you are at a different level as those guy. Keep in mind of that.

I have put 512MB MMC in my phone and it works. Offically, it supports up to 256MB.

There is right or wrong here, each different individual preference is very individualistic.
To me, I like certain functions in Sonyericsson and also like certain functions in Nokia and of course we cannot have everything. But till now, I like my this Nokia 6230 very much as this small phone have a big world of everything.
I hope sonyericcson can make up what nokia good in their phone, likewise nokia do the same, then we can have a perfect phone in the future.

Nokia seem to have woken up to the negatives in their earlier Series 40 phones. Lacklustre colour-depth and polyphony to name two.
And they used to scatter features throughout the range. For example: some had voice-dialling, some didn't; some had Wallet, while others had a radio.
Not with this one: the 6230 really does have it all (of the above and much more). The feature list is very extensive.
This is the most outstanding Nokia phone I've owned.
