not sure, the bloke in thew shop showed me the computer screen which just showed info on the phone itself. i got the 6600 for £160 (on contract) when it first came out so i would imagine it would be the same sort of price.

I would like all to end this "I live in the best country and your country sucks" comments etc. Not to say I have not stung some needles myself, sorry if I have hurt somebodys feelings. We all have our own views, and comments here probably wont change them. (Unfortunately) ;). In future I wont comment on any idiotic comments based on personal views, motives or disinformation. Except the one below:

The batteries have exploded due to bad fuses in illegal batteries, the phones have not been exploding. If these Chinese(?) pirates have been able to acquire Moto battery blueprints, good for them. The quality is pretty much the same for every product leaving from all manufacturers. Attack the pirates not Nokia for making lousy illegal batteries. It would be the same to attack game makers if you got computer virus from the game you downloaded from illegal servers. Those who buy illegal batteries should just blame themselves.

In Nokia USA, 6230 was on the list for phones coming in a few weeks. Usually Europeans get these a little bit earlier so I would say that the first ones will come out in two weeks but most of us have to wait for them a month or so.

ops... I was discovered! ^_^
Sorry for the word "admin", I just wanted to piss them off. I read this website everyday, but always got these kind of ppl writing nonsense and providing unhelpful info about this Nokia 6230. Could u kindly remove the unnessesary "opinions" that they posted up and keep this page with friendly and healthy comments. Thanks you.

CUBE is not admin, but he is quite right.

All the fuss was started by one guy who flooded yesterday the forum with his insane "exploaded battery" stuff. I deleted most of his opinions and I left only a few in 6230 page, because they were already answered.

Yeah! Correct! This page is for "Nokia 6230 - User opinions and reviews". Can't you all read the heading of this page. So guys...stick to this topic of contributing opinions rather than complaining here. If you like SE phone go buy it then. If u like Nokia phones go buy it! If u guys wanna complain of nokia or SE phones. Go to other websites. This is for users who are keen on checking the facts and specs of any particular phones they like. Pls write with CARE! Bearing in mind that ppl from all over the world is looking at how STUPID u are.

To "Stanford MBA" guy... IF you had graduated from any university you would know that:

a) you have to base your opinions on facts
b) check your facts before expressing your opinions
c) you have to be impartial
d) university degree doesn't tell much about your IQ (isn't Bush a Yale graduate..? *cough**cough*)

So, Finland is actually three times bigger than Wisconsin. Population is about the same. Just the facts, Jack! China and Russia are many times bigger than USA but I wouldn't really be too proud of their actions if I lived in those countries. Hmm, well actually that goes for USA, too.

If you knew anything about phone infrastructure you'd know that the phones have not been exploding, the batteries have. And it's been those illegal batteries. So when you buy your mobile phone you will receive an original battery with it, no problem there. If you need to buy a new one, go to an authorised shop and buy an original battery. No problem there either.

Checking your comments "Mr. Stanford", I would say you actually are:
1) high/drunk or
2) junior high school kid with attitude problem or
3) fired by Nokia or
4) working for some other manufacturer

I'm not a fan of any manufacturer, I just buy the best one in the market to suit my taste. At the moment the best choice is 6230. If SE S700 was out in the stores soon I would buy that. As it isn't for a while and it's going to be quite expensive I will be happy with 6230. ;)

Finnish person talking

"Am I a socialist or a capitalist?" Am I a socialist or a capitalist? hmmm...I think Finland is socialist since I my government tells me how big my house must be but my country makes cell phones, so I am a capitalist too."

The fact is that Nokia phones are exploding. I cannot ell the difference between good and bad batteries. Who wants to buy a cell and have to wonder whether they have an original part or not. No other companies' cell phones have this problem. Why just Nokia? Because you suck in Technology. Finland is a dot on this earth. Finland is 1/4 the size of Wisconsin. Finland what a country. Any investment you do will have a high per capita you idiot. That is because your country is tiny and you have a small population. If you were educated, you would know this. Is there a such thing as a Finnish MBA? I doubt it. I am a Stanford MBA.

To this ?? commenting on Finland's capabilities in electronics...

First of all, if you came from a country that had a decent schooling system (as we in Finland, check latest international researches, we have had the highest scores in most areas) you would know that Finland is part of NORTHERN Europe, not Eastern. So back to school, boy!

Finland does know electronics. Per capita we have probably the best ratio in funding and research on IT technology along with other Northern European countries and some other (USA, Japan, the NL). As you ?? don't know this much about global situation, I bet you dont come from any of these countries.

Don't want to keep on listing other good points Finland has to offer in electronics etc. as you ?? probably wouldn't even have the slightest idea what I am talking about. You probably didn't even know that the first GSM phone call was made in Finland.

About batteries. I believe there has been just a few cases and all batteries have been illegal copies. Naturally Nokia has been targeted by those criminal factories as they have the largest market share. If you buy an original battery you will not get into trouble. That goes for other mobile manufacturers as well.

Unoriginal or whatever. What's the difference. If your Nokia explodes you won't care why. This is happening to Nokia and no one else. So why take that chance with a Nokia phone -you will never know if it is a phony battery as China can make any product look like an original. The fact is that Nokia has the problem and no one else.

6230 will available in Europe on week 14/15.

OT: Every time, when a Nokia phone has exploded, it was because of not original battery.

These "illegal" batteries have been manufactured in China, Taiwan and Korea.

I have to say. Ever since that story came out about the Nokia phones exploding people's pockets and hands in Europe, I would not consider buying a Nokia. Why take the chance? You can lose your face or your thing in your underwear because you wanted a Nokia.
I do not think Finland knows electronics. Japan, China, Korea know electronics not Eastern Europe. This is why their phones explode.

se k700 is the best phone ever. it is smaller than t610. it has an mp3 player,a dynamic 32mb internal memory,a powerful camera with 4x zoom,3d games and java,fm radio, themes, bluetooth and 65k colorscreen all packed on this small cute phone. what can you say nokia?

I wanted to buy this phone cause I thought it was a great phone, until I heard of the SE K700. This phone has almost the same features but his BIG advantage is the 25% larger screen. So what it has no MMC card in it, no problem for me, I do not intend to use it for MP3's. And another B-I-G advantage is the price. The nokia 6230 will cost around 390-400 euro's when it's released but..... the SE k700 will "only" cost around 300 euro's, so you will save about 100 euro's --> that's enough to buy a MP3 player ;-)
I'll go for the SE k700 because it just overrules the N6230
